The condo was really nice. We were concerned about being so high up but could see the water perfectly. Have stayed at Islander before but this was one of the better condos. Only drawback the twin beds are really small. Too short for my 18-year-old son.

the staff was great but it was 0540 when we got in our one out of two condo there was bar soap and a dirty brush in the main bathroom and the carpet in the condos look like they needed shampoo, where was the hot tub? there was not one and the elevator was very bad my son and i and my sister in law did the stairs most of the time, the fire alarm went off because of the elevator lol the movie rental did not work. and the doors did not lock the glass ones they were crazy to close lol but the view and pool was great,, i just did not like having to drive 3 times to get the keys.

Nice weekend trip to the Gulf. Only stayed 2 nights and did not have interest in "free" amenities, other than the beach chairs and umbrella. We would have preferred to have a more discounted rate than pay for them in the rental package.

This was one of the best vacations I have had in a while. the condo was very nice. The beach attendants were helpful and nice. The only compliant I have is the elevator was too slow and hot.

This condo needs to upgrade the TV to a larger flat screen digital system. Other units have flat screen TVs that are compatible with game systems, This will be a factor in slecting our next rental.

This was our first time to stay with you for our annual Girls' Trip. The people and atmosphere were outstanding. The beach was not too crowded, the water was clear and beautiful, and our condo was topnotch. We will definitely be back. The only complaint we might have is the elevators were somewhat slow and lacked any sort of air ventilation!

Our room was awesome. It felt more like home than a condo rental. I did not want to leave. We stayed in 7004 and the view was great. The master bed was very comfy. The condo was very clean. I can't say enough good about my stay. I will be back.

This was the 7th year that we have stayed at this property during our Spring Break. We stay with three other families and we all have a wonderful time!
The guys all enjoy the opportunity to play a few rounds of golf during the week and we have even gone on the dolphin cruise a couple of the years.
We like the location A LOT because it isn't in the middle of a busy area and road. The Santa Rosa Blvd is nothing but Condo Bldgs and The Islander is almost to the end so we feel like we are secluded -- NICE! It is a very convenient trip to the grocery store -- PUBLIX which is right down to the end of the Blvd and then to the left over the bridge and an immediate right into the parking lot.
We liked the opportunity to be able to look online and pick our unit this past year. We were able to choose one of the rooms that we stayed at several years ago and loved the decorating. Also, it is nice if you have two siblings of the opposite sex and would prefer twin beds as opposed to a double. Some years that posed a problem when we didn't really know what bedroom the kids would get.
The access to the pool and the beach is great. We love the fact that we can go onto the beach have our beach chairs and umbrella set up and take a break for lunch and go right back out to the same chairs because they are assigned to us. It is great!!
Only complaint is that the property is getting older and some of the condo units need some updating – especially in the kitchens.
We would defininately recommend this property to everyone coming down to the Ft Walton Beach/Desting area!!! -

The actual property was beautiful, the unit was well maintained and nicely decorated. Unfortunetly it is managed by Brooks and Shorey, which I found to be disorganized and uninterested in customer service.

We LOVED our room it was perfect for us and our 2 small children, 3yrs and 9 months. We loved being able to walk right down to the beach and the view from our balcony was breathtaking.

We have been coming to Okaloosa Island from north Georgia since our two children were very small (they are now in college)and for the past 8 or 9 years, we have stayed at Islander. We chose it one year walking along the beach side, for its large pool and its large balconies. Once we stayed there, we decided that it was by far the BEST of the rental properties on Okaloosa Island -- at least for our family. The floor plans are very open and comfortable, with plenty of light from the gulfside -- it never feels "pinched" as some newer gulfside condos have felt. I have always liked the decor of the units, the quietness of the residents, and the hot tub (when it's clean and full) is a DEFINITE asset (though I admit, I dislike when it's full of little children). We really like being toward the end of the island, and the water/beach line right there has always been wonderful. I know hurricanes in recent years has changed the beach line, but we still love Okaloosa, and Islander in particular. This is a very special place for all my family, and we will be back -- I hope -- for many years to come.
