We really enjoyed our two weeks here. The apartments living space was quite small( the bedrooms were fine) but had a great outdoor area with a table overlooking the Lucca Valley and it was right next to the pool which was ideal for the children. Although part of a bigger Villa complex the estate was quiet, especially during the week and everyone who we met there (Canadian, Italians, Dutch, German, etc) were friendly . There seemed a good mix of owners and rentals The whole estate had a very relaxed and exclusive feel about it and was ideal for unwinding. The drive to Lucca took about 20-25minutes and a good supermarket is 15minutes away. There is an excellent and affordable pizza restaurant within walking distance. The drive up to the Villa is a bit scary to begin with but you get used to it. All very positive really but I think if the weather had been poor the living space would have been a problem. Also there is no air conditioning , just heating and fans but this was not an issue , even in 30 degrees and the walls of the building are so thick the bedrooms keep cool. The fans are adequate. The Kitchen was fine but we could have done with a kettle and a microwave, otherwise it was well equiped. Last small criticism is that the pillows were very hard and we only had one each, oh and the mosquitos were a pain so bring your sprays etc. Overall, a really nice place worth a visit

Thank you for the positive review. As for the pillows, new fluffy pillows are now installed for your sleeping pleasure. And regarding the mosquito during the warm summer new rollup screens have been installed for your comfort. It is always good to bring some OFF mosquito spary for additional protection. Best Wishes.
