Home to our Greaves Jams store on the ground floor, our suite is located on the second floor, with fabulous corner and street views of the street. Walk, ride your bicycle, ebike to just about everything! Free Parking for one vehicle during your stay. 15 minute drive to Niagara Falls, 1 hour from Toronto, 10 minutes to the USA border crossing of Lewiston, NY.

My husband and I could not have been happier with our stay at Greaves Sweet Escape during Christmas. The loft is very comfortable, more than enough room for the two of us, and very nicely decorated. The loft is conveniently located in downtown Notl and walking distance to shops and restaurants. There is also a lot to see that is within walking distance: historic buildings, galleries, parks, and Lake Ontario / Niagara River. We also enjoyed taking a relaxing drive through wine country and a quick trip into Niagara Falls.

We stayed for one week in what I think is best described as a loft apartment in an old world setting. A great mix of the modern with period charm. It has all the comfort and style of the best 5 star hotels, but with the advantage of being in one's "own home".

My husband and I rented the unit for a long weekend at the end of august to celebrate our 2nd year wedding anniversary. And since we've just recently had our first child, we brought along my sister and her partner as well (so that they could babysit!!!). The 2-bedroom apartment was perfect, very clean and beautifully appointed. The location could not have been better either! We will definitely stay there again and will highly recommend it to our friends and families. Many thanks Greaves!

From the moment we arrived we absolutely loved this place. It is elegantly appointed, and thoughtfully equipped with every amenity one might require. There's plenty of room and the location just cannot be beat. We travel to Notl almost once every month as it is our favourite spot. Consequently, we have had an opportunity to stay at the majority of hotels, inns, b&b;'s, guest homes etc., and I can honestly say that this is definitely one of our favourites. We can't wait to stay there again very soon. It's a gem for sure!

I'm a local, but I had my business partner from Germany stay at Greaves Sweet Escape for a week. He's literally a world traveler and couldn't believe how nice these accommodations were. Comfortable and spacious living area, ample additional space to work and surrounded by excellent restaurants, and wineries. 100% winner in our books!

Our group loved the location, the parking spot, and having a code for the entry. The loft was spotless and had the perfect amennities such as wine glasses, wine opener, dishes, blow dryers, etc. Our only problem was, we were unable to start the dishwasher before we left even though we thought we were following all the directions. We hoped the cleaning lady could do it!

Our accommodations far surpassed our expectations. We walked into this beautiful unit and our jaws dropped. A very spacious, luxurious, and comfortable loft awaited us.
The location was exceptional and everything was within walking distance. I will miss my early morning walks enjoying the sights and sounds of this enchanting town as it awakens preparing for that days arrival of new visitors. Sweet Escape is truly a home away from home. We are already planning our next trip to Niagara on the Lake and our stay at Sweet Escape.

We stayed at the loft for 2 nights and it was more than we expected. It's perfect for 2 couples, it's located on the main street in Niagara-on-the-Lake and is above Greaves Jams & Preserves. The unit is quiet and has everything that you have at home. We walked, went to restaurants, wineries, golfed, shopped, bought food at the local grocery store and for breakfast hot fresh pastries from the bakery directly across the street. I would recommend this loft. Enjoy!

The Greaves apartment exceeded our expectations in every way. While the brochure and website do their jobs to sell the property, it just doesn't convey the size of it! Very very comfortable, the ease of use, privacy, proximity to everything in the town, just perfect. I don't want the B&B; we normally frequent to know we were here! We will most certainly be back.

We had such a wonderful time at Greaves Sweet Escape. It is within walking distance of everything in town. Charming and full of good shopping and restaurants; and let us not forget the wine! The flat is incredibly spacious with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Kitchen is fully stocked and ready to use. It was incredibly clean! Beautifully decorated, we felt so comfortable. The fireplace in the living room is very cozy. Lots of windows in the living area - you can watch downtown, which is kind of fun. There's so much to do in the area we never left town except to bike to Niagara Falls. The only thing I could say some wouldn't like are the master bedroom windows - they are quite old and not very sound tight. We heard the garbage truck early one morning but we're early risers so it wasn't that bothersome. We will definitely be returning.

Check-In and Ckeck-Out was hastle free. The accommodations were fantastic and very clean. Everything that you could want in a self-service was there and of the highest standard. You could not ask for a more central location in Notl. Convenient for the shops, pubs and many restaurants. In addition, many wineries are only a very short drive away. What we liked least was having to leave. Will definitely return and stay longer next time.

It was so nice to be centrally located in Notl for the Shaw Festival; it was also terrific to be able to shop and cook for ourselves for breakfast and lunch, dining at Notl's lovely restaurants (e.g., Stone Road; La Cachette; Bistro). The only drawbacks: no placemats for dining, which is admittedly minor, but the apartment is otherwise very well stocked.

Thanks for your kind comments. We have 6 placemats in inventory, and I plan to check if they have been misplaced. It is a rather large kitchen with many cupboards, so things get rearranged sometimes.

We recently had an enjoyable 4 night stay at Greaves Sweet Escape. The accommodation was even better than the photographs! The location is perfect as you can park your car and walk to everything. The apartment was very clean and contained everything we needed for our stay. The windows are single pane so noise was an issue one morning when the garbage collection, street cleaning truck and city lawn mowers were all active but otherwise noise was not an issue as the town is rather quiet. There were black ants in the apartment and we called the management contact who was very apologetic and helpful. They were willing to come by and address the problem but we just put some traps down and the problem disappeared within a day. We came back from an outing to a gift of Greaves jams left at the door for our inconvenience ~ unnecessary but quite nice of them. We'd highly recommmend Greaves Sweet Escape and wouldn't hesitate to rent it again on our next visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake!

The pictures do not lie... this place is perfect! The only thing you don't get from the photos is just how spacious the apartment is! And it's very well equipped.
I doubt we'll ever stay in the area hotels again... we'll be back for sure!
There was only 1 thing that could be improved upon... it was the pillows on the bed (feather). While they look really nice, they offered no support. And 1 person in our group has allergies to feathers... so it wasn't ideal.
Everything else was perfect! This stay was with my family... next visit will hopefully be for a girls weekend! Can't wait to return! -

Parking space very convenient. Staff friendly and helpful. Loft "WOW" at first sight! We were two couples sharing the loft, all four of us still say "What a great loft above "Greaves"! We have recommened it to other friends but unfortunately it was booked. When we come back to Niagara area we would always check your accomodation First! This was my second stay & it was a nice as the first time. The accommodations are clean & well taken care of. The space is tastefully decorated which adds to the experience. The central location is great for taking in the town itself as well as near by sights &b wineries. The only draw back of note is the clock tower downtown which rings every hour throughout the day & night but others may well find this charming.

believe we did have to ask for more towels but that wasn't an issue either. We
thoroughly enjoyed visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake and would like to go back

Myself and three girlfriends spent a weekend here in October of 2009 to celebrate 20 years of friendship. It was perfect. The suite is a full two-bedroom apartment with two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, large dining area, a large living room area, and a laundry room. We could not contain our exclamations of surprise and joy when we walked into the suite. The fireplace in the living room was great to have. The kitchen utensils including pots and pans were of very good quality. The one very minor drawback is that the second bedroom and bathroom are much much smaller and pale in comparison to the master bed and bath, so we had to draw straws to see who got which room. But this was very minor in comparison to the overall experience.

I have stayed at Sweet Escape on 3 separate occasions. The first time, I was apprehensive as I climbed the stairs to the first landing but the exact words that came out of my mouth as I continued through was "wow", "oh my gosh", and "this is awesome". The location can't get any better, the amenities and decorating are top notch, and reservations were trouble-free. If and when I get back to NOTL, this will ALWAYS be my first and only choice.

We just came back from a 2 night stay at Greaves Sweet Escape. The apartment over the store, is lovely, spacious and quite convenient. I especially loved the soaker tub in the master suite. We took full advantage of the kitchen and cooked several wonderful meals. The included parking spot was also very welcome. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed at Greaves Sweet Escape this past weekend in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We had an amazing time and loved the accommodation. We went with another couple and it was perfect for the four of us. The Loft is right on Queen St. in the heart of the shopping district. It is very central for walking to restaurants, pubs, The Shaw and Fort George. The wineries are a short drive or shuttle bus away. The loft was clean, well appointed and completely functional for four adults.

This is our second time at Greaves Sweet Escape and once again we were extremely pleased. Exceptional location ( in the middle of everything: Shaw Theatre, shopping, great restaurants etc.) private parking, spotless, comfortable, LUXURIOUS with all amenities and with lots of privacy.
Now that we have found this "paradise" we'll keep coming back.

"Greaves Sweet Escape" has become the "Fifth Stage" for us. In true Shaw
Festival fashion, the production values are high; the design is delightful; the
sets have been prepared with great care and creativity; contemporary
costumes work on this stage.
We are so thrilled to have discovered this gem that sits atop one of our
favourite shopping destinations. Our annual traditions now include several
visits to this wonderful, centrally-located condominium that provides a quiet
ambiance day and night.
This is home away from home. The experience enhances our longstanding
love affair with "The Shaw." Same time, same place, next year. -

The Sweet Escape loft provided the perfect accommodations for our girlfriend weekend trip to NOTL. The location is very convenient to the shops, restaurants and theaters. We walked everywhere and felt safe doing so. Driving the winery trail was lots of fun and having your own private parking space was sweet! We all agreed staying at the loft versus a hotel was a wise decision and that we want to return again next summer!

We three ladies loved having three separate sleeping areas and two full bathrooms. After sharing one hotel room for over 30 years of visits to NOTL, this loft apartment was like spending time in heaven. We'd love to keep this a big secret so we can always be sure of being able to stay here again.

We really liked the location and the "apartment" had up-to-date amenities like flat screen tv's in the rooms and common area. It's common area was very large as was the kitchen. We stayed with one other couple and would highly recommend Greaves spot. Good place to get to all the surrounding shops and restaurants-- everything is 5 minutes orless. Nice to have an area to socialize as well as private bedroom areas. We will definitely stay again when we're back in NOTL.

This was our second stay at the Greaves Sweet Escape - our first time was before Christmas in 2008.
Both times my wife and I invited my daughter and her husband to share our weekend in NOTL by staying at the suite above Greaves and visiting our favourite wineries, restaurants and theatre in the area.
We have been visiting the NOTL area for close to 30 years and have stayed at most of the accommodations in town and the area... and Greaves has become our favourite place to stay. The close proximity to all the action on the main street is an added bonus as everything is within walking distance.
We enjoy cooking and the well appointed kitchen allowed us to create memorable meals to enjoy in the relaxing dining and living area.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are first class and very comfortable.
We will definitely return.

We were absolutely in awe of the Loft. Your brochure really doesn't do it justice. It was totally awesome. The four of us were really amazed at the way Sweet Escape is laid out. the rooms and decor were perfect,and the location is great. Everything you need is within walking distance. It was to our dismay that we only had 3 days to visit. We are coming back for a longer stay, in the near future. We wanted to keep this our secret hideway, but after being there we couldn't wait to tell all our friends about it. We had a great time, and can't wait to come back again. Many thanks to your staff.

What an incredible weekend! We were absolutely thrilled with the accomodations - we barely wanted to leave the suite it was so lovely. The 4 of us came to Niagara for the Taste of Niagara weekend. We saved money by bringing our breakfast, lunches and cocktail fare in our suite. They have full kitchen and everything that you would need to cook a gourmet meal. We will definately come and stay here again. Great value!!

This is an absolutely incredible place to vacation or stay for even a couple of days. This was the second time we stayed at this absolutely perfect home away from home. We brought my parents this time because there is so much room and it is amazing. It takes your breath away when you walk in. The place is beautiful decorated with everything you need to have a 'sweet escape'. We will never stay anywhere else in NOTL or Niagara Falls now that we have found Sweet Escape. The staff at Greaves are great if you need anything and you have to make sure you pick up jam before you leave.
