Parshall Place is such a wonderful little diamond in the rough. My mother and I rented for 2 days to attend the Hot Springs which is located a short 5 miles away. I learned of Parshall Place when my husband found it to rent while he and some buddies attended the Granby Ice Fishing Tourniment. The home is so welcoming and inviting. It is like staying at a good friends house with a spectacular view. I loved the privacy the quiet little town provided. Wonderful place to relax and get away from the city. We cooked all of our own meals in the beautiful kitchen and clean up was a snap. The owners are wonderful and Denise can make some killer chocolate chip cookies which she provides for all her renters. We will definitely be back!

We found this great little house just a few miles from our destination, Hot Sulphur Springs. Loved this house! Perfect amount of space for 6 people. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you'd need, the beds were comfortable, and the decorating was so great! Every corner we turned, we saw one more thing we were impressed with. I loved the hunting/woodsy decor, not overdone, just tasteful. The homemade cookies waiting for us when we got there topped off the experience.
One thing to note is that this place is kid friendly, but not toddler proof :) -

This is a very nice house that is comfortable to stay in. It is very tastefully decorated with lots of attention to detail. The upstairs bathroom is unique and attractive. It is a great place to stay. Everything you could need is in the house such as spices, towels, soap, etc. It is cozy and has a nice feel to it.

DenverHome away from home.
Left on 04/11/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We went with my grandchildren during spring break for a few days. It was nice to have an entire home available for all of us at a very reasonable price. It was the time between winter and spring and the surroundings were rather bleak. The interior of the home made up for it. It was decorated well, like a hunting lodge. It lacks no amenities. The children loved it. They were very happy to be able to have their own bonfire in the back yard. They were craving smores. The boys (ages 13 and 11) had never seen real elk antlers. They thought they were made out of wood. I am not sure but they may still believe that. My granddaughter (8) was enthralled by the chickens next door. She took lots of pictures. They are city kids.
We were able to go to the Hot Springs Resort close by. The older folk enjoyed it more than than our kids. They were put off by the "flotties" from the spring. They were used to clear clorinated pools. We did some hiking at the Grandby lake. It was still frozen over. We would like to return in the summer for fishing and boating.

Left on 01/05/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Our family got together for Christmas Eve at the Parshall Place. It has everything needed for preparing and serving meals. The house is very cozy and warm, tastefully decorated, with room enough for guests to enjoy and has great views. Our family is planning another stay in March for a birthday get-to-gether and we are all looking forward to the excellent service. I can't say enough about the service and convenience of our stay, we all enjoyed the homemade choclate chip cookies we found waiting for us as well as the board games and TV/DVD in all the bedrooms. We recommend the Parshall Place to anyone that enjoys clean, quiet, country comforts.

Good support, service; very cute, nice house; centrally located. However, lack of amenities in town, lack of Internet service, and condition of neighboring community represent challenges.

Walla Walla, WAThe frosting on the cake of a great trip to Colorado
Left on 07/09/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We stayed at the Parshall Place on July 5-7, 2011 with my cousin and her husband. There were 5 in our party, and there was plenty of room in the house for all of us. After carefully reviewing the pictures that my cousin sent, I was expecting something a little more run down, but, but when we arrived, I was favorably surprised by the overall quality of the property. The owner has done to great lengths to add several amenities and to add tasteful details to the guest experience. There was a jar of fresh cookies awaiting us, with choices of coffee and tea, as well as a water cooler in the kitchen (the owner recommends not to drink the tap water). There house was splendidly decorated in a rustic theme. Other amenities include a washer/dryer, Direct TV in 3 locations, 2 bathrooms, horseshoe area, outdoor fire pit (great for Smores!), gas barbecue, lovely dining area. Wow! I would suggest buying mosquito repellent with at least 40% Deet, as the bugs down at the Colorado River were tenacious. Also, I would highly recommend eating at the Maverick Grille in Granby (15 miles east); we ate lunch and dinner there and it was awesome! Please keep in mind that this property is a little out of the way, but is still a reasonable drive with access to Granby, Rocky Mountain National Park, and the Grand Lake area. All I can say is that I hope I can stay here again in the near future.

Colorado Springs, COA Sweet Place
Left on 02/28/2011 for a stay in February 2011
This place is a Gem and the owners are very frendly and easy to work with. The house looks small on the outside but once inside you feel at home, the owners say its a work in progress, but in my opion it's done and it's sweet. A great place to relax and within reach of many places to play. Thanks and I will be back.

Left on 02/28/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Even in the dead of winter, this was a cozy New Year's eve destination for us. Completely different form the city, about 8 minutes drive from the hot springs, and beautiful scenery to see even on a frigid day. Walking distance to the local bar/restaraunt/liquor store. It was very peaceful, a great place to cook, and nicely appointed with Leather furniture, Flat Screen TV, and a small DVD collection. We'll be back, thanks!

This place is awesome. The setting is great. Fantastic view of a river and mountains. The interior is finished with local aspen trim and really neat craftsmanship. There weren't any problems, but we had a direct line to the owner in case anything popped up. And...fresh baked cookies were waiting for us when we arrived. This place is great!!!

I searched for many rentals in the area of Winter Park for a ski trip with my friends and many were out of my price range. I posted an ad on Craigslist and was contacted by the owners of Parshall Place. It was much cheaper than an other rear by places. We found the place to be very cozy and clean. All ameneties included and very friendly owners. I highly recommend Parshall Place if want a great place at a great price close to the slopes!
