This is a 1 bedroom 1.5 bath second floor privately owned vacation home at the Perdido Sun Resort located directly on the beach. This condo comfortably sleeps a family no more than 2 adults and 2 children. The living room is equipped with a television, DVD player, internet and a sleeper sofa. The bedroom also contains a king size bed, DVD player and television. The kitchen is fully furnished with all appliances and this condo has a private beachfront balcony.

I came to clear my head, I wanted quiet and peaceful and that's just what I got. I was a little surprised at how quiet the town was but it was cool and off season. I was alone but felt very safe. The condo was comfortable and the view was awesome. The next time I return, I would hope to have a partner, it would be a lovely place for a couple to spend a week together.

It was clean and nicely updated, but we were without some linens and had a sugar ant problem. None of these are the owner's problem, though. Perdido Key Resort Mgt did answer after hours and someone came and sprayed. However, we never did receive the linens. Glad I brought extra blankets. The indoor pool was very nice and a good temperature. You couldn't ask for easier acces to the beach or being closer to dining/shopping.

Thanks for the feedback. The pest control person reported the ants were from someone spilling a sugary liquid on the counter-top. It could not have been from the rental prior, because the housekeeping sanitizes the surfaces between all each rental. Nonetheless, should not be an issue moving forward as we sprayed and the pest control person sprayed and we have since made sure all of the counter tops were cleaned. We dropped off an extra blanket and placed it in the bedroom closet while the guest was here. This is a great condo and the beach access in this resort is the best. The room was clean and well furnished-The kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. We had a really nice view of the beach from our balcony. I only have 1 negative comment-we were given a long email with check in-out instructions. We missed the part about returning the rubber wrist bands when checking out. The clerk at Perdido Key Resort Management seriously wanted to charge me $10.00 per bracelet because I couldn't find them initially. I mean come on, how hard is it to keep track of rubber bracelets on vacation-especially for the kids! I ended up finding 3 of them but my point is, I gave Perdido Sun Resort better than $1,200.00 and they wanted $10.00 for a bracelet that maybe cost them $0.25/ea. I know it's not much money at all but it's the point of it. They weren't accommodating but were more stuck on "the rules".

The pool passes are signed out upon arrival and have a replacement cost as the Resort's Homeowners Association charges us to get new ones. The $10 charge is what is in our rental agreement as well as being on the sheet you sign when being issued the pool passes. This is why they are signed out upon check-in. We were pleased with Perdido Sun management and their service--all the folks were helpful and nice. The lobby is lovely.
The home was in good condition and very nicely decorated. The couch is on its last legs (it was saggy and there were bars sneaking out from underneath) so we didn't pull it out, but our daughter slept fine on top with nice bedding. The balcony door needed service when we got there. The king bed was very comfortable, and the bedroom and master bath had lots of closet and drawer space. We were surprised just how on-top-of the covered pool the balcony was, but it did not interfere with the view of the beach. The tall balcony furniture made it easy to gaze out at the sea and sunset.
The pools and hot tub were in great shape and freshly painted. The hot tub was hot, and the indoor pool warm. Two boardwalks allowed for easy beach access. The work-out room was adequate. This was our third time staying on this strip--we love the location of Perdido Key; it is close to Pensacola airport/Walmart and Foley (Tanger Outlet), and quieter than Orange Beach. There are a few good restaurants and two supermarkets closeby, including sushi at Publix, so we don't have to go far.
It was listed as a luxury condo, but we didn't feel that it was; much of the decor was superb, but we felt that a luxury condo shouldn't have things in disrepair (towel rack, leg of recliner, poor run-off from balcony, chipped paint on rails, the couch). What we really didn't like was that Vrbo listed the unit as having a washer and dryer--and it didn't. Thanks for the thorough review. The staff works very hard for our guests and we really appreciate the kind words! The owners of this condo furnished it as a vacation home rather than simply as investment property and it means a lot when a guest mentions that the bed is comfortable, their is plenty of space for luggage, the view is nice and the amenities were nice. Thanks again for those kind words. When I checked the sofa and part visible from underneath was the mattress cover. The towel rack was loose and maintenance has since re-secured it to the wall. The recliner did not have a broken leg, but rather one of the wheels on the bottom was loose. We've touched base with the owner to get the repaired, but it should be a problem unless a guest is moving furniture. The balconies have drain holes at the bottom edge for run off when it rains. The building is regularly painted to maintain its condition in this Gulf Coast environment. I will report to maintenance that the rail on the balcony needs touch up. All one bedroom condos at the Perdido Sun use the washer and dryers on the lobby level. The two and three bedroom condos have washer and dryers in the unit. Thanks again for the great feedback. The condo itself was wonderful and offered us everything that we needed to have a fantastic vacation. However, the young ladies at the front desk should be required to be friendly. No smiles, no "have a nice day", no greetings at all. They were too busy with their cell phones and talking to young guys. Very unprofessional and immature young females. That type of behavior takes away from the overall atmosphere that the condo tries to project.

We really enjoyed the condo and the beach was beautiful and not at all crowded. The only complaint we had about the entire stay was that Perdido Key is a little farther away from some of the nicer restaurants in Gulf Shores. Other than that, we had a wonderful time. This is a good time of year to be at the beach. Perfect weather, not at all crowded! We shopped, we rested, we enjoyed!

This was one of the best vacation spots we have had in awhile. We often stay in Orange beach or Gulf Shores but we were having a family reunion with family from Pensacola so we stayed closer to them. Our condo was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. The property and the people at the front desk where always so kind. We were so happy staying and it felt like home we extended our stay and then did not want to leave when we had to. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Perdido Sun and in condo 202 in particular. Thank you for a wonderful vacation spot.

The stay went well, however next time I would like to request a downstairs condo due to a physical disability. Also, I did not notice the height of the bed when first looking at #202.I had problems getting on and off the bed.I came prepared to swim, but the pool was not accessible. The steps were to narrow even to atempt to go down.

The outdoor pool was not closed down, but perhaps just bit too cool to swim in during December. The indoor pool is heated and was open during your stay. The first floor condo have stairs out to the pool deck, so when planning you next vacation I would think that the elevators would be a better solution. We make an effort to inspect the condos which have arrivals scheduled in advance to ensure that they are ready for our guests. Specifically regarding this reservation, it was a walk-in which did not allow for time to have the housekeeping inspect the condo. I am sure that any minor things would have been caught had it been made in advance and in instances such as this we assume that the guests would let us know if it needed any touch up services. The condo needs a few updates and a good clense. There was a lingering smell that was not plesent. The bedroom bathroom needs some repairs. The windows in the bedroom have not been cleaned in a long time and were not working. Other than that, everything else was good.

sure the beach was clear and clean for our
ceremony. Our wedding and our vacation in Perdido

The management was helpful in arranging an extra night visit for us at the last minute. No matter the time of day, the staff was friendly and courteous. The condo was beautiful and just what we wanted. We had a great view of the beach. The pools were great. The only problem we had was with the beach chair rental company. They were not affiliated with the condo but took up all the beach space in front of the condo. We had to walk a good way down the beach to get a spot. Overall it was a good stay.

They setup the chairs early in the morning, but always try to leave a good bit of space between the chairs and shoreline. Most guest choose to setup in front or behind the row of chairs depending on how much space their personal beach equipment is going to take up. We had a blast! The palce was great. Loved the fact that you had an indoor pool as well. The only issue we had was when we got there the room was not all that clean. There was garbage and hair under the sink and the dust on the cieling fan was thick and gross so we did not use it. The silk plants were dusty too. Other than that we really enjoyed the room and place. We would return again. Thanks!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. As in this instance, we never turn an early check-in away. Upon check-in we issue all keys and passes, but request that the guests not move their belongings into the condo until 4pm unless we call sooner to say that the condo is ready early. This allows for the housekeeping to have ample time to finish with their duties following a 10am check-out. We have directed the housekeeping, if the guest wishes to move into the unit early, to stop and vacate the condo. I apologize that the housekeepers did not have the condo ready when you moved in early, but I am certain that had they had more time that it would have been up to par by standard check-in time. I appreciate the chance to address your remarks and hope that you stay with us again in the near future to give us the opportunity to put your mind at ease regarding the housekeeping.

This particular condo was supurb. We would not have changed anything. We liked the area so well, we went home, sold everything we have and moved to Gulf Shores, renting a condo for a year in Ft. Morgan. We would have loved to got a place at Perdido Sun but they do not allow dogs and we have 2 small shiz tzu dogs who are like our kids. If we had not have came and enjoyed ourselves so very much if such a great condo, we would still be in Memphis freezing!!! We have been here since Jan. 1st and I truly thank God that we had such a rewarding experience at Perdido Sun that we made this drastic change in our lives. Thank you so very much!!

We had a lovely time at the Perdido Sun #202 last fall. Normally we travel to Sanibel/Captiva for our fall vacation. Since we have a toddler now, we decided to try the panhandle, saving us 8 hours of extra driving time. What a wonderful time we had! Since it was after Labor Day, all of the resorts were BARELY half-full. It was like we had the island to ourselves. We had some added excitement when Hurricane Ike was rolling through the gulf. The wind and waves were something to behold.
As for the property, it fit our needs perfectly. Our unit was nicely decorated, and it had everything we needed. The kitchen was impeccable. The balcony had great views, even on a low floor. Also, this unit was very affordable. That's another reason we travel in the off-season. One word of caution-- the product the housekeepers use on the tile floors causes them to be very slippery. That's probably due to the humidity, though. Other than that little glitch, Unit 202 is perfect for us, and we plan to retun- preferably not when storms are in the gulf. -

We rented two condos last summer for our family. This was a beautiful condo that was furnished wonderful. It had everything we needed. We will definately come again.
