Description

Luxury self-catering holiday cottage accommodation in North Wales (two cottages sleeping up to 12 adults and 4 children – 8 per cottage) in a beautiful rural location with great access to local activities and attractions. Fodol Cottages are ideally situated in a tranquil secluded part of Llandegfan, Anglesey North Wales just a 5 minute drive from Menai Bridge, Britannia Bridge and the A55.

The cottages are designed and furnished to Tourist Board 5 star standards and are in the midst of rural farmland and central to the Anglesey and Snowdonia playground….. coastal path walks, climbing, winter mountaineering, canoeing, surfing, kite surfing, horse riding, golf, sailing (can recommend a good yacht!), beaches, castles, masses of interesting places to visit, good restaurants, DW Sports gym, the list is endless………. .

“Angelsea Gem.”

We had both cottages as a family and they were everything that we could have asked for. Comfortable beds, all utensils and bedding provided. Nice setting, lovely scenery around and very peaceful.

“Fodol Cottages”

Two nice cottages in a rural location on beautiful Anglesey. Spring is bigger and lighter than Lavender. We were 2 families of 5 and each family took one cottage which worked fine. Shops and restaurants are a short drive away. The owners live just next door and were attentive to problems, most of which were minor and swiftly resolved. The one problem we could not fix, despite much time and effort over the fortnight, was the WiFi. This is provided on a pay as you go 4G hotspot arrangement much like a mobile phone hotspot. The combination of poor signal, thick walls in the cottages, regular top-ups needed (which can only be managed by the owners) and multiple users in the house, meant we just could not get it to work reliably. If you need WiFi, as we did, this is probably not the place for you, at least so long as this arrangement remains.

“wouldnt stay again”

having arrived very close to the early hours the owner had left the house's open which saved time,both properties were clean and tidy,( a bit small for the amount of guessed staying but i supposes you could sleep the amount of people advertised. but it ment two couples had to share a room !)the problem i thought was very odd, the water was turned off so we could not shower and the note explaining where the cleaning equipment i;e hoovers ect , and to strip all the beds on leaving. I have stayed in a lot of properties and find that to be very odd, the price was not cheap , and i don't expect to clean the properties before i leave, i expect the cleaner to carry out this operation. ok but not stay here again.

Response from the owner The properties each sleep 6 adults and 2 children. The water is never turned off but there could have been an issue with the utility provider of which we were unaware. We were not made aware that the guests were unable to shower as we would have ensured that any issues were speedily resolved. We do not ask that the property be cleaned before departure only that it is left in a reasonable state. The price charged includes a welcome pack, dish washer tablets, washing tablets, fabric conditioner, hand soap and toilet paper and the cottages are well appointed. Towels and all utilities are included and the cottage is centrally heated. We are sorry that the guests did not enjoy their stay but we do state that one room is a family room and we do not accept over occupancy.
