ARENIG, pet friendly, character holiday cottage, with a garden in Bala, Ref 9245

Llandderfel house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“lovely area” stayed in the cottage during the half term break with our dog. she had a good walk every day at the back of the cottage up into the hills that is used for off road driving, fortunately there was only a few hard corps drivers testing themselves which gave us a laugh but we had a nice walk every day either close to the cottage or when we went out. the cottage itself was very clean and tidy and we were welcomed by the owner who was very informative about the area. the local amenities 2.5 miles away were quite ok and open quite late for a range of products. we did enjoy our visit and would recommend it to others quite easily.

“Cosy base, perfect for exploring the area.” Fron Goed is a lovely cosy cottage, very well presented and in beautiful gardens. We were meet by the owners who were very welcoming . It is perfectly located for exploring the area, we visited castles and beaches, country parks and towns. We also spent time in the garden and the cottage, Caernarfon is only 20 minutes drive where there are supermarkets and places to eat out, you do need a car though, you can't really walk anywhere. We found the cottage a great size for us and our 1 year old as she could safely play in the main living area although the open staircase could be an issue for some. The cottage is on a main road and although set back there is no gate so you do have to be careful when outside with young children. We had a brilliant holiday and would definately go back.

“Nice” This cottage was very nice and clean . perfect location for what we wanted. The patio was not very big but we made do. The rangers track up Snowdon is only 5 minutes away by car witch you can park directly over the road, and have a nice walk up Snowdon. when back at the cottage, it's only 2 minutes walk into the village for a well deserved pint. We will return one day.

“A very peaceful relaxing place to be.” Our stay was just as we hoped it would be. Beautiful accomadation and very friendly owners and as they are your immediate neighbours this was important. Lots of fab places in the area to visit. As Caernarfon was only one and half miles from the cottage it was a slight disappointment that we could not walk to it, indeed really no where was excessable without first having to drive. Road out side the site of the cottages was a very busy one indeed and would have been very dangerous to tried to have walked anywhere.

Tremadog house

“Warm, spacious, well equipped with a friendly host” A warm "home from home" which was clean and welcoming on arrival. We arrived in the dark (mid October) and found the property easily after receiving good directions from the property owner. The house was warm and inviting with lots of space for four adults and two teenage children. We thoroughly enjoyed using the house as a base to explore mid Wales and found it very welcoming to return to after a long day out and about! The beds were clean and comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with all the usual items plus a few extras like a coffee maker. A short (10 mins approx) drive to Porthmadog provided a supermarket and lots of local businesses for food, gifts, local take aways and some interesting shops to browse through. Market day was Friday with approx 18 to 20 stalls. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cefn-yr-efail and would recommend the property to anyone who has a larger party of travellers!

“Where mountains meet the sea” We had a wonderfull time in this house. A part of our holiday we stayed with our 3 teenagers. 1 week another family of five(friends) stayed with us. The house is comfortable, has very nice views (sea and mountains) The housekeeper is friendly and is helpfull if anything is not working. The walks on the beach-Shell Island, from the house to the hills and the Snowdon region will stay in our remembrance.

“Relaxing and most comfortable accommodation in lovely rural surr” Relaxing, very comfortable, spotlessly clean accommodation, beautiful gardens and owners very attentive to our needs. A good central location for visiting surrounding area i.e., Aberdaron -which we know and love - Abersoch, Portmadoc etc., We loved our stay but the only very small criticism (if we can call it such) was the BBQ facilities - possibly a more open and relaxing area in a tiny part of the garden would have been nice ! Very closed in, outside the back door! Fortunately we did'nt need that facility as the weather was not warm enough!! Otherwise we had a lovely holiday and look forward to returning in the future !!
