This semi detached, former fisherman's cottage has three bedrooms and can sleep five people in the seaside town of Kilkee on the west coast of Ireland in County Clare.Kilkee Cottage is centrally located in the coastal town of Kilkee near to Kilrush. The former fisherman's cottage has been tastefully renovated and furnished to a high standard and can sleep five people in three bedrooms (one double with ensuite, one twin and a single). The cottage also has a family bathroom and a lovely open plan living area comprising a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a lounge with a woodburning stove. To the outside of the cottage is a secluded patio area as well as off road parking for two cars. The shop, the pub and the beach are all just two minutes walk away, which makes Kilkee Cottage the ideal location for a fabulous family holiday.
Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburner. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, flat screen TV, DVD. Fuel, power and starter pack for open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Roadside parking for 2 cars. Secluded rear patio area. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops, pubs and beach 2 mins walk.
Region: County Clare has so much on offer; boat trips, quirky pubs, seaside resorts and a great tradition for Irish music, all set amidst spectacular scenery such as the towering Cliffs of Moher and the fascinating landscape of The Burren.
Town: Kilkee is a seaside town on the westerncoast of County Clare overlooking the sandy beach that is protected from the Atlantic weather by the Duggerna Reef. The Kilkee Surf School runs surf camps for children aged 9 to 16 at Kilkee and Doughmore beaches every week of the summer holidays and close by is Waterworld which has a range of indoor water attractions including a bubble pool, shower geysers, the 'lazy river ride' and a 61m crystal tower slide. The 18-hole championship golf course is situated on the road towards George's Head and stretches along the spectacular cliffs. Kilkee has a variety of cafés and restaurants specialising in locally caught fish and shellfish and the pubs and bars have regular music competitions, traditional Irish nights, cabaret, dancing and pub theatre.
