“Very relaxing stay at this wonderful retreat.” This place exceeded our expectations in every way. We really liked it! The caretakers of this location were very helpful and provided us with lots of information that made checking in very simple and straightforward. They also had a little book with all the info we'd need to find/use amenities in the house. The house was very spacious and we appreciated the many books/tourist pamphlets that were made available to us. The area is very quiet and relaxing and the view behind the house is spectacular. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone, particularly large families looking for a place to stay while in Ireland. The house is close to many attractions and very accessible.

“Fantastic, Tranquil Holiday Experience” Pat and Annette really have a stunning Lodge Resort. The lodge is placed near a lake, has stunning views, and the lodge it self has all the creature comforts of home and is very comfortable. The location is central to all the local tourist attractions, and Pat and Annette have developed a book recommending all the best places to visit while in the area. With boats, donkey rides for the kids, fishing and a quaint little pool hall in the centre of the lodge, Mount Cashel is far better than any hotel. I would highly recommend this property to my friends and certainly will be coming back to stay again, the main reason being that it is so peaceful, welcoming and homely.

“21st Century Meets West Clare” We have stayed in many different cottages across West Clare over 20 years and more and whilst each has had lots of positives, we have always, as a family, felt that we would like to have access to the pubs, shops and even the Internet. This property offers all and with the added bonus of being modern, well-equipped and close to all amenities, yet also within very easy distance of most of West Clare and Kerry's best attractions. We enjoyed it so much that we are returning again...this time for 2 weeks!

“Wonderful” My Apologies to Freda for taking so long to write this review, My stay at Castle View was more than I could have hoped for on my first trip to Ireland. Freda was so accommodating and kind when it came to sorting the business out of booking. The cottage was perfect, Modern , clean and bright and because we stayed in November the open fire place just lent so much more to my Irish experience. The pubs are walking distance, the locals were so fun and interesting as I am sure we were to them as well ,,tons of belly laughs that's for sure!. Vaughan's Anchor Inn serves up incredible dishes absolutely 5 star cuisine and a short walk from the cottage! The beach and the Dock are also so close by and even in November it was lovely to explore! Doolin was fun, traditional music at O'Connors , the place was packed and fortunately we got to experience listening to a story teller, I never heard a bar that packed become so quiet I was in Awe!! The Cliffs were close bye and it was terribly windy, and breathtakingly beautiful . I was able to pick up all my souvenirs for my friends and family back in Canada right there at the Cliffs Of Mohar..a place I only visited in my imagination since I was small.. Thank you Freda so much and Trish I hope we did not leave you to much to do when we left, Thanks for leaving the key under the mat as we arrived pretty late.. Hope to return one day was a trip of a life time and banked in my favorite memories for ever!! Blessed!!

“Lovely cottage” Having stayed at various holiday cottages in Kilkee over a number of years this is by far the nicest one. Lovely cottage, nice and clean and we received a warm reception. Located in the town and close to all the shops and the sea. Would stay here again and would recommend to others.

“Absolutely fantastic!” The owner was really helpful offering advice on the local area. Accommodation was excellent and very spacious, even two horses in the field below the property to keep us entertained. Gardener visited during our stay, maybe because it was noticed that we had children playing outside, so prompted a grass cutter! Which ever it was appreciated. We would happily returned to the area and this property, it was like hi e from home!

“Exceeded all expectations!” We stayed in Sandhills House for 4 nights in June. Despite reading all the excellent reviews on tripadvisor the property still managed to exceed all our expectations. Situated within 20 mins drive of kilkee,Lahinch and killrush and a 5 min walk across the family farm to Doughmore Strand( a magnificent 2 miles golden beach we had to ourselves) the location is perfect. The house itself was immaculately clean and we were greeted on arrival with a warm welcome from Nuala and homemade brown bread and cakes. The 3 bedrooms and living area gave us ample space and were beautifully furnished with oak furniture throughout. The beds were extremely comfortable and each of the 3 bathrooms were spotless and contained numerous toiletries. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil ever invented and there was a plentiful supply of essentials such as tea bags,coffee,sugar and dish washer tablets.eggs were supplied daily by our own resident hens. The private garden was wonderfully maintained and Our 2 year old daughter was in her element playing on the swings,slides and trampoline or chasing Bruno the friendly Collie around the garden. Overall our stay in Sandhills house was faultless, the attention to detail really sets this house apart. We will definitely return!

A beautiful, restful, spacious yet cozy haven in a fab village.

What can I say about this holiday house other than it is the best we've stayed in. We had been planning to stay in Lahinch but when we came across this total gem we decided to stay in Liscannor- and boy was this a good decision! Liscannor is a real haven. It's only 5 minutes drive round the bay to Lahinch for the surf & beach but we much preferred Liscannor to stay in-it's quieter but still has a fab handful of amazing pubs, restaurants & a GOURMET bakery/cafe too (thanks for the welcome box of banana bread & brownies Deirdre!)! The house itself is spotless, decorated beautifully, Beach -themed & SO homely (candles, woodburner, books, games& DVDs of films and series's we actually wanted to watch!). The kitchen is stocked with everything you could hope for -utility wise and also oils& vinegars wise etc, and just loads of little touches that Deirdre provided to make our stay feel truly like a holiday! Deirdre was there to meet us when we arrived and was so welcoming and warm & generous of spirit that you cannot help to feel right at home straight away! The kitchen has the most lovely view of rolling green fields and a dry stone wall (we saw hares jumping over it!). Having breakfast at the kitchen table with that view was a joy (there's even an espresso machine with coffee provided...). There's a massive garden and a barbeque if you get the weather. Oh and the beds (this includes the bunk beds!) are ALL lusciously comfy, as are the sofas. In fact perhaps the best beds we've slept in (Not exaggerating) whilst on holiday - both decadent duvets and mattresses. Deirdre was so thoughtful with everything we could not fault this house. The house is so spacious (Theres a total of 3 bathrooms which includes two en suits) yet somehow so cozy! We have a one year old and the house was perfect for her. Thanks Richard for guiding us in. We will be back. Lovely setting for anyone from a built up area. Nothing but quiet for miles around at night and lovely stove to keep the toes warm.
