“Great family stay at 1 Castleview”

Reviewed 15 Apr 2017

Stayed here with family of four, two adults, two kids 10 & 11 for three nights. It was perfect. Accommodations comfortable, kitchen well equipped. Great location to explore Cliffs, the Burren. We look forward returning to County Clare and would definitely rent here again.

Response from the owner Many thanks for your kind review. Lovely to hear you all enjoyed the house and Co. Clare! We look forward to welcoming you all back to Castleview in the future.

“Wonderful”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2015

My Apologies to Freda for taking so long to write this review, My stay at Castle View was more than I could have hoped for on my first trip to Ireland. Freda was so accommodating and kind when it came to sorting the business out of booking. The cottage was perfect, Modern , clean and bright and because we stayed in November the open fire place just lent so much more to my Irish experience. The pubs are walking distance, the locals were so fun and interesting as I am sure we were to them as well ,,tons of belly laughs that's for sure!. Vaughan's Anchor Inn serves up incredible dishes absolutely 5 star cuisine and a short walk from the cottage! The beach and the Dock are also so close by and even in November it was lovely to explore! Doolin was fun, traditional music at O'Connors , the place was packed and fortunately we got to experience listening to a story teller, I never heard a bar that packed become so quiet I was in Awe!! The Cliffs were close bye and it was terribly windy, and breathtakingly beautiful . I was able to pick up all my souvenirs for my friends and family back in Canada right there at the Cliffs Of Mohar..a place I only visited in my imagination since I was small.. Thank you Freda so much and Trish I hope we did not leave you to much to do when we left, Thanks for leaving the key under the mat as we arrived pretty late.. Hope to return one day was a trip of a life time and banked in my favorite memories for ever!! Blessed!!

“Great location and great house”

Reviewed 8 May 2011

Stayed in the house for a week in the Spring. Modern holiday house with a high spec interior with everything you could need. Great sun room/dining room. Well equipped kitchen so cooked in most days. Central location in village, a few minutes walk to pubs and shops. Will definitely return again and have happily recommended it to family and friends.

“Very relaxing house in a lovely Irish traditional village”

Reviewed 4 May 2011

This house was very nice with lovely views in the historic fishing village of Liscannor and only a five minute drive from the Cliffs of Moher. The house itself is quite modern and very comfortable. We are looking forward to returning next year.

“The best christmas ever !”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2011

I stayed with my family for 10 days (christmas and new year) in the house and it was incredible. The house is modern and friendly and the owner was very cheerful and flexible and we had a nice warm welcome. There was already some christmas decoratrion in the house :-). It`s near to the beach and in a quiet location. Its not far to a small shop and only a 2 min drive to Lahinch. The Cliffs of Moher are very near and you can visit the aillwee cave ore the burren national park. There are so many things to do! We had a great time there!
