La Casa d'Artista si trova nel centro di Scarlino, un paese medioevale in collina affacciato sulla costa Toscana della Maremma, una zona ricca di storia e di siti etruschi, di bellezze artistiche e naturali. Il porto è a pochi chilometri dal centro. A pochi passi dalla casa si trovano parcheggi liberi.
Le spiagge sono raggiungibili in auto in 10 minuti.
Nella Casa d'Artista affittiamo una porzione autonoma di 35 mq con ingresso indipendente, composta da un soggiorno-camera matrimoniale che si apre sul giardino vista mare di piante e di sculture, bagno privato. E' anche provvista di uno spazio cottura a 2 fuochi e di un frigo. Si trova nella casa-studio dove abitano i proprietari, l'artista Mauro Corbani e sua moglie Laura, ed è arredata con opere d'arte originali che si possono ammirare anche nel tranquillo giardino vista mare condiviso con gli ospiti dei nostri 2 appartamenti dove ognuno ha uno spazio esclusivo con tavolo e panche dove consumare i pasti o rilassarsi sui sdrai e lettini.
La Casa d'Artista è disponibile tutto l'anno (riscaldamento autonomo) e Scarlino con i suoi meravigliosi dintorni è una meta piacevole in ogni stagione: in estate soprattutto per il mare; in autunno e primavera per le bellezze naturalistiche, storiche, artistiche e archeo-minerarie, le spiagge deserte e le escursioni; in inverno per il clima mite e la quiete. Si consiglia l'uso di un mezzo proprio per l'esplorazione dei siti etruschi, dei borghi e del litorale, delle fattorie che producono vino e olio. L'artista può anche organizzare corsi d'incisione calcografica a pagamento ed è sempre disponibile a fornirvi tutte le informazioni utili. Si possono visitare gli studi dell'artista gratuitamente e assistere alla realizzazione delle opere.
A Scarlino ci sono bar e ristoranti, farmacia, banca e posta, carabinieri e ambulanza, negozi alimentari, qualche bus di linea. Numerosi sono i percorsi per trekking e mountain bike (da non perdere Cala Violina!), c'è un nuovo porto turistico, è possibile svolgere molte attività sportive in terraferma e per mare.

Response from the owner Carsten e Katia sono stati ospiti speciali, rispettosi dell'ambiente e degli spazi di soggiorno, cordiali e curiosi della cultura e delle tradizioni locali e anche della mia arte. Il monolocale da loro prenotato è molto caratteristico e intimo, fresco naturalmente perché ristrutturato da una vecchia cantina molto antica ed ha anche il pregio di affacciarsi direttamente sul giardino. Con una stanza attigua aperta sul giardino (casa d'artista plus), molto luminosa e con un pozzo storico scavato nella roccia (una volta utilizzato per la raccolta delle acque piovane), può anche ospitare altre 2 persone. Al piano superiore è disponibile un altro appartamento, L'Atelier, con camera vista mare e terrazzo sul giardino. Grazie a Carsten e Katia, ospiti graditi che consigliamo ad altre strutture.
