Response from the manager Thank you Sue for taking the time to post a review. We do take negative comments seriously and are sorry you did not enjoy your stay. It is unfortunate the pool maintenance happened, just the day prior to your arrival on the closest pool. This unfortunately was out of our control and we ourselves only received notice of this that same day. As there are 2 other pools, the owner did not feel compensation was due. You were in contact with us a lot during your stay, so I'm surprised to hear you felt ignored. I understand you were frustrated by the pool work, but feel the 'hefty electric' bill and mice comments are exaggerated. Electricity is expensive here, but with the discount off the nightly rate given + electric paid, it worked out 45% off our advertised nightly rate! After your report of evidence of mice ( once), we did find a hole behind a cabinet and had that fixed, but I do not recall dead mice being found at all! If you do consider a future trip, please reach out as we have options with private pools and different locations that may work better for you.
