“Perfect Choice!” June 20-July 4 2015 Marcia & Dennis We could not have made a better choice for our honeymoon. Your piece of tropical island heaven afforded us the ability to have a trip of a lifetime. We will never forget the beauty of everything we have seen here and the friendliness of everyone we have met. Thank you for having a place that can allow people to experience all Roatan has to offer! Because of this experience we will be visiting this wonderful place again! Raina & Ryan (Honeymooners) Toronto, Canada

“Great place to stay in Roatan !!!” What else can I say; great people, great location, great beach & reef, great accommodations at a great price and I even had great weather. My wife and I have visited Roatan often and this is our first choice on the island. From this location you can easily catch a water taxi and go anywhere you want to shop, dive, eat any meal or, just stay in and relax and cook your own. When we are there they make us feel like family. I really like the freedom this place offers and I think Paul and Tommy are on the right track at Turtle Beach. Enjoy !!! Dewey & Deb

“Beautiful house, perfect location, good times” Oct 21 at 5:13 PM This rental was absolutely perfect in every way. We liked the fact that it was just a little bit off of the main drag, but still had the most awesome view of the ocean. The decor was very unique and tropical, and we loved cooking our meals in the kitchen every day. Most of our mornings started with coffee/tea and breakfast out on the veranda, watching as the birds floated by and the ocean sparkled. We went in October, 2013, and I had been a little bit nervous about going during rainy season. Instead, we got beautiful showers, leaving dramatic rainbows in the sky and cooler temperatures. This was definitely our home away from home, and we will return. This was less expensive, much bigger, allowed us to cook our meals, and this was definitely our home away from home. We will return!

“A week in paradise” We recently visited roatan the first week of march and boy did we have a good time. The house is absolutely gorgeous with an awesome pool area too. The yards and pool area are very well maintained by the grounds keeper. The house is divided in many different areas so each could have their private own space and there was enough space in the main house for us to all be together too. Everything in the property was in order and liz from roatan rentals was very helpful. I do recommend using the pickup service they provide as some people of our group had trouble finding the house with regular taxis. The house is very well located with easy access to west end with a short 2 min taxi ride( wich cost 1-2 bucks each way). I highly recommend this to anyone who's thinking of visiting roatan with a large group. J-P

“Relaxing” My wife and I stayed at Turtle Beach and found it to be more than we expected. The value was perfect for our budget. All the comforts of home were there.Paul and his staff kept the rooms and resort very clean. We were met at the airport and then taken for groceries before going to our rental.Turtle Beach is located half way between West End and West Bay,(about a 10 minute walk ethier way)just enough to keep you away from the hussle and bussle of the two areas.Yet if you wanted to go to ethier it was close. As far as the service went whatever our needs were were met.The entire staff made sure of that.

About Roatan

Roatan is surrounded by numerous smaller islands, various cayes, and the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System. This system is the second-largest barrier reef system on the planet and the largest one in the Western Hemisphere. The Roatan landscape features blue skies, even bluer waters, and beautiful, sun-drenched beaches. Nature lovers relish all of these local offerings, while outdoor enthusiasts enjoy swimming, Roatan diving and snorkeling, horseback riding, Rotan golf, and fishing.

Some of the sights you will not want to miss include:

  • The Museum of Anthropology and History: This two-story museum is a walk through San Pedro Sula Valley's history. It features several intriguing displays that include information on the Spaniards' arrival, the Conquest, and the merging of Indigenous and Spanish cultures.
  • The Rio Platano Biosphere Reserve: The Rio Platano, the biggest and most impressive reserve in eastern Honduras, showcases thousands of diverse species of animals and plants.
  • The Nombre de Dios: Also known as "The Name of God," this mountain range expands east and south as visitors travel throughout the region. It features lush surroundings and a breathtaking landscape. One of the range's highlights is the Llama del Bosque, "The Flame of the Forest," a tall tree topped with exquisite red flowers.
  • Celaque National Park: Situated just outside the town of Gracias, this park contains excellent hiking trails and a cloud forest that includes the highest peak in Honduras. Celaque is a sacred center of spirituality for the Lenca people, who are indigenous to the region.

When staying in Roatan, your vacation rental becomes your home away from home. Regardless of whether you book a villa or condo by the beach or a home near the city center, you will have all the modern amenities you need to make your experience a dream come true.

Coral Vista #2
In the heart of it!

This was the third different vacation rental home I have stayed in during my trips to the island. Coral Vista knocks it out of the park in regard to location. The unit is quite literally steps from the beach and about a one minute walk to the shops and restaurants in West End. There is also fantastic snorkeling in the bay right in front of the unit. This trip we had not only my family of four (including two little ones) but other family and friends as well. The unit had plenty of room for us all with the four bedrooms and bathrooms. The unit has amazing views of Half Moon Bay and the plunge pool was great for the kids. A downside to the great location was it can be a bit noisy, especially on weekend nights when the West End nightlife is hopping. Another downside was there was no way for a vehicle to get any closer to the unit than the West End road so we had to haul luggage and groceries down the beach to get it there. Not a huge deal as the walk was not too far.see more

Slice of Heaven

July 15-20 1015 Dennis & Marcia, Thanks for a wonderful stay! Thanks for the spear to shoot lion fish, advice on where to go and hospitality during our stay! The spectacular reef on Roatan is unlike anything we’ve seen! We can’t wait to bring our kids back to enjoy this slice of heaven. We explored the East to West End and snorkeled multiple spots with eel spottings, lion fish, lobster, squid, and many schools of fish and beautiful coral. The island food and coctails are wonderful. Thank you! Amy & Brandon Moquin Fruita, Coloradosee more

Paradise Found - Sleeps 8
Paradise Was Found!!

Our group of 5 adult friends spent 2 weeks in Roatan. Our first week was at The Plantation House in Palmetto Bay. If you want a relaxing vacation away from all the hustle & bustle then this is your place! You couldn't rent from anyone better than Clay & Heather. Booking was so easy. Heather responded to my every email within an hour. I felt like I already knew her personally by the time we got there. Heather & her driver Larry picked us up from the airport, took us straight to the grocery store which had tons of american products. She walked up & down the isles assisting us, throwing things in the cart and told us which local brands were better than others. The house & grounds are exactly how the they look in the pictures. Absolutely amazing, spacious and immaculately clean. Bed were comfortable, plenty of hot water (although we conserved energy by turning on the hot water heater when we needed it.) We utilized the beautiful clean pool every day! Heather treated us like family. If there was anything we needed she was there to help. She had a list of "Things to do on Roatan". What ever we chose to do she arranged it and took us there. Zip lining, swimming with the dolphins, fishing & diving excursions and Little French Key (which is a must). Don't forget to have her take you four wheeling on the back roads! When we chose to stay home Heather had movies & games for us to chose from. She even joined us one night for a game of Cards Against Humanity. It was a blast! The beach & water were beautiful even though they had a little seaweed problem. The men worked everyday to clear it away. We spent our lazy days swaying in the hammocks in the gazebo at the end of the dock. The beach bar / restaurant staff were very friendly and the food was good. Dinner, drinks & tip will run you around $80 for 2 people. The Sea Bass was amazing. We ate there 3 nights and prepared our own meals the rest of the time. Our friends arranges a moonlight dinner for my husband's and my anniversary. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to make it a perfect experience. When it came time to settle up with Heather for gas, wifi cards she bought for us, and any other expenses we owed her she gave us a lower figure than we expected. So we threw her an extra $100 for her up coming girls week in Vegas! Hope she had a great time! The Plantation House on Palmetto Bay is the best value on the island!!!! We will return and recommend this little paradise to anyone planning a trip to the island! Special note: There are a lot of items you can not buy on the island. It is extremely expensive to ship or mail things to Roatan. If Heather asks you to help her out by bringing a few small things for her.. Please help her out! She ordered a ps3 game & face moisturizer from Amazon, shipped them to my house. I packed in my luggage & brought them to her. It saved her over $100 for 2 small items. It's not a weird thing..It's a helpful thing! Oh! Don't forget to pack your bug repellent. You are in a tropical jungle of course! Mosquito's are plenty at dusk & night. Sand fleas will get you if your not sitting on a padded lounge chair while on the beach. I found the Avon Skin So Soft bug wipes worked amazingly well!see more
West Bay Beach-BEST LOCATION-3 bdrm, 3 ba w/ POOL
Simply perfect

I had the change to stay at Debbie's condo at West Bay during Christmas and new year 2016 with my extended family (6 adults & 4 kids) What an amazing place, it is located at the perfect spot at the very end of the beach and shielded by the Las Rocas. This location allowed us to have an intimate beach to play with our kids and leave the gears and toys there with no fear of them being "borrowed". When we wanted more action, we just needed to walk the path to goes across Las Rocas for 2 minutes and we were on the main beach of West Bay where many restaurants, bars and attraction were available. The tours guide that we booked were coming on the beach just in front of the condo to pick us up. The snorkeling in front of the condo is good and with a small 10 minutes’ walk you will be at the natural park. Local peoples are very friendly and are not annoying when they try to sell you things. The condo was in a A1 condition, very clean, plenty of water, dishes, blanket, towels, the pool (which is bigger than it looks on the picture) and beach were cleaned daily. All the equipment provided (oven, grill, washing machine, dryer, A/C) was running in good condition and worked as expected. We had no problem at all during our 14 days there. There is even a local guy coming at the condo every morning to delivery local pastry and if we wanted some fresh seafood or fish, the guy called his friend and no later than 15 minutes after he was there selling us fresh food at a very competitive price. Check-in and check-out were very fast and with no problem, the transportation was also a pleasure, guys were right on time and did all the work. Debbie was very fast replying and answering my questions by email, payment with her was easy and I got my security deposit in my mailbox 10 days after check out. Do not miss out on this place. If/when I go back to Roatan, I will look to rent the very same condo.see more
alittlebitof SUN HOUSE
Perfect 2 months in paradise....

My wife and I rented Bonnie and Bill's SunHouse for 2 months in Dec. 2016 and Jan. 2017 and had a wonderful time. The beach is about a 1-2 minute walk from the house. All the attractions of West End are at your doorstep. Bonnie and Bill were gracious, attentive hosts and are really nice, happy people. If you have time to get to know them (which I suggest you do) they have lots of local knowledge and some great stories to tell. The unit itself had everything we needed for our stay, 2 bedrooms, a nice full kitchen and has an Italian style bathroom with a huge shower with overhead waterfall showerhead. The rooftop veranda is a nice private spot to enjoy some down time, read a book, sun yourself or just hang out.. The walkway to the unit is gated and locked which adds privacy and safety. The town of West End is very safe and walking around late at night is no problem. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful and there is just so much to do that you will not get bored. We felt right at home and had a great vacation. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks again to Bonnie and Bill. Health and Happiness to you in the future. Your Friends, Roc n' Docsee more
