With marvellous panoramic views across to Costa Hill, Swannay Cottage offers amazing fishing, shooting and birdwatching opportunities on site. The Orkney holiday cottage sleeps five and is perfect for families and groups of friends and pets are welcome too! Swannay Cottage is located in the West Mainland of Orkney, approximately 20 miles from Kirkwall and 14 miles from Stromness.

“Perfect Orkney stay!”
We loved the cottage and found everything we needed to hand. It was cosy and our kids loved the garden. We had a great time exploring nearby Birsay and all the sites of historic interest nearby. Thanks for a lovely stay Karen!

Absolutely brilliant. Welcoming, comfy sparkling clean. Good location for peace and quite, but good access for travelling around Orkney. Karen was really helpful.

“Excellent dog-friendly cottage”
This is a well equipped cottage with a large walled-garden that is good for dogs and/or young children. The cottage is close to the Brough of Birsay, Skara Brae and Broch of Gurness. Also the ferry to Rousay is close by at Tingwall Kirkwall and Stromness are within 30 minutes drive. The owner, Karen, gave us a warm welcome and also gifted some local food products.
