“Wonderful practical and very romantic” 8 days ago me and my girlfriend stayed in this very ward and beautiful cottage, it was a 7 day stay in Glasgow, although its a cottage situated in a city it is very quite but very close to all important places to visit in Glasgow/Edinburgh. We arrived at Edinburgh airport late in the evening, picked up the car from the airport, and drove to Glasgow (50 min drive) and found waiting for us the owner of the cottage him self, although it was late after 9:00 pm he showed us around, and left all things needed for breakfast for the next morning, and that was very appreciated from us. It was a great holiday in a lovely country from a very helpful cottage owner. I would describe this cottage as wonderful practical and very romantic!
The largest city in Scotland, Glasgow has activities for travelers of all ages and interests to enjoy. The city center of this Scottish capital offers some of the best shopping in the UK outside of London, and the abundance of concerts in all different genres of music have led it to be named a UNESCO City of Music.
Visit the medieval castles and buildings centered along Merchant City, rummage through the bargain bins and world-class fashions that can be found throughout Argyle Street, or enjoy Glasgow's entertaining nightlife filled with restaurants and pubs in the West End. There's never a shortage of things to do in this iconic city!
Be sure to make time for some of these other must-see attractions and destinations:
The Clyde Auditorium: This local venue has always been popular among Glasgow locals for the excellent opera and theater performed here throughout the year.
Glasgow University: Take a free tour of Glasgow's beautiful campus with neo-gothic architecture dating back to the late 1800s.
Burrell Collection: Over 9,000 pieces of artwork that were gifted to the city of Glasgow can now be found at this free gallery.
Watch a Soccer Game: Watch the local Celtic and Rangers clubs play in the largest soccer stadiums in Scotland.
Glasgow Green: This almost 600-year-old park is full of beautiful green space and also hosts a museum, winter garden, and the largest terracotta fountain in the world.
Provand's Lordship: Provand's Lordship is the oldest house in Glasgow, dating back to 1471, and has recently been renovated for free tours.
As one of the biggest and most cosmopolitan cities in Europe, Glasgow undoubtedly has an impressive array of events and festivals to enjoy throughout the year. Watch movies from Scottish filmmakers and Hollywood blockbusters that have been filmed in Glasgow during the Glasgow Film Festival in February, watch stand-up performances from some of the best comedians in Scotland during the Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival in March, or sample the range of educational activities throughout the city at the University of Glasgow Science Festival in June.
There are many vacation rental properties available for you to choose from during your stay in Glasgow. Rent a condo in the countryside of the city with high-end amenities and all the creature comforts of home, or a luxury apartment with panoramic views of the city skyline.
Scotland also has one of the best public transportation systems in the world. Get around locally by train or bus, or travel by boat to Northern Ireland and Belgium. The historical and charming capital of Edinburgh, coast town of Prestwick, and traditional Scottish village of Houston are all excellent day trips that can be reached within an hour by car or train from Glasgow.

Mid Century styled cottage. West End of Glasgow. Patio Garden
Perfect cottage with a gorgeous garden
The location was perfect for walking to all the local attractions. A short downhill walk to the subway station and the grocery store and a brilliant pub with nightly music. We walked everywhere as the cottage is very centrally located for getting to the university and the museums and lots of excellent restaurants. Getting to downtown Glasgow takes 12 minutes on the subway (which is clean, on time and very efficient). The best part of the cottage though, is its very friendly owners, who have a beautiful garden which they allow the renters to use. We enjoyed spending the days sightseeing and then coming back to the cottage and sitting in the garden with a glass of wine. Pertfect ending of the day! …

City Centre apartment
Nice apartment in central location
The apartment was very nice. The location was great for getting anywhere in city and the train station is right across street. Because of this you can hear noise from the bus stop outside during day, but I heard nothing at night.
My only suggestions are for non slip stickers on the floor of the tub/shower. And perhaps a pull down shade in the bedroom underneath the drapes.
Easy check - just ring bell and front desk of hotel will buzz you in. This building is a combination hotel and private apartments. Met the owner of apartment who was helpful and pleasant. Would stay here again. …
