Fire Island is a magical island off the southern coast of Long Island New York and Ocean Beach is it's Capital City! It can be reached by ferries with bold names like Explorer, Voyager and Fire Island Flyer crossing the Great South Bay from Bay Shore, NY.

Ocean Beach is a sophisticated town and besides the most beautiful ocean beaches in the world it is home to at least10 fine restaurants and night clubs featuring highly talented chefs and entertainment.

This house is situated on Bay Walk where you will be close to the bustling Main Street lined on both sides with boutiques, restaurants, ice cream parlors, 3 markets, a movie theater and even a gym!

You will not see any cars because they are forbidden on the island. Strolling, biking and (when there's much to carry home) red wagons are the means of transportation.

There is no wagon or beach chairs at the house (other than those left by previous guests). It is suggested that you bring a reasonably packed wagon to the passenger ferry of boxed/bagged necessities to the freight ferry at the end of Maple Ave before 9 am. Freight will arrive in OB about 1230PM. There will be a small charge either method.
