This wing of Kildrochet House stands in its own grounds which we wondered around every evening with our dog and a glass of wine. The cottage itself is very thoughtfully and tastefully decorated with fantastic attention to detail and the extra little touches, like gorgeous bubble bath and fresh flowers really make it stand out from its competitors. Lesley and Philip are very welcoming and I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

Really beautiful wing of this splendid house set in wonderful grounds.
There was great attention to detail from the lovely furnishings to fresh flowers in all the rooms and milk, bread and butter in the fridge.
We especially loved the window seat overlooking the gardens and table and chairs in the courtyard. Best place we've stayed and a great location. -

A really great place to stay. Huge amounts of space. Beautifully decorated throughout. The kitchen is massive with everything you could need including a fridge freezeer larger than my own! The lounge has nice view with (for self catering accom) a very good TV and books. The bedroom is enormous and romantically furnished. A lovely bathroom too.
Almost impossible to fault. -

Driving from Preswick airport in Glasgow to Stranraer was straight forward and finding the cottage was easy as it was located off a main road. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and we found both Phil and Lesley welcoming.
We were particularily attracted to book the cottage from the photographs online and it did not disappoint: Inside was well presented (modern with a country feel) and clean. Fresh flowers greeted us in every room which immediately made us feel at home.
A short drive takes you into Port Patrick, which has plenty of decent places to eat and a harbour walk helps to burn off the calories if you have over indulged! It is the perfect long weekend getaway. -

The house is set on pleasant grounds and is easily accessible by car with good off road parking. Dogs are catered for which was excellent for us and our Labrador. The rooms were clean and well presented and we were given a brief overview of the facilities (which is good as sometimes such overviews can be too lengthy after a long journey). The lady was very friendly and approachable. The kitchen was stocked with a few basic items to keep you going until you have chance to nip to the near-bye shops. The bed was comfortable and warn and the bath was good, although perhaps a shower would have been welcome. For car owners this is a good base for exploring the local area. Overall an excellent place to stay we highly recommend it and intend to visit again soon.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the cottage/apartment. It was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. It was very well equipped and had everything one would expect in a self-catering accommodation. We stayed in November and though the weather was very cold the apartment was warm and cosy. The house grounds are also very pleasant for a stroll. We were so impressed we have booked to go again this year.

The apartment had everything we needed. It was warm and cosy and we felt at home and comfortable immediately. The grounds of the house were idyllic and only a 3 minute drive from the coast where there were lovely coastal walks and long, empty beaches. It is also only and 5 minutes from Stranraer.
I would return without a moments hesitation. -
