      A spacious and cozy apartment

Left on 01/16/2013 for a stay in December 2012

This apartment is as we see in the description and beyond. It has great location since it's close to MRT station and is situated in a very safe neighborhood. We find that Sogo department store, 7-11 convenient store and restaurants are just around the corner, so we could always find something to do when we feel like going out, no fuzz. As for the apartment, it looks pretty much the same as we saw in the photos, very spacious, clean and cozy for a family to stay. We made coffee in the beautiful fully equipped open kitchen and had snack and watched TV after a long day's walk in Taipei. All and all, we enjoy our stay very much; the apartment is excellent value for what we pay, highly recommend!

Clean and comfortable stay. Just like home.

Left on 12/06/2012 for a stay in November 2012

A great stay for me and my family. Walking distance to station and shopping mall. There's travel guilds and reading materials in the house if recommendation is needed. It's a few station from shilin night market (????) and danshui (??). We had a great time on our first day out at danshui.

Not Worth for the Name - "Luxury"

Left on 11/19/2012 for a stay in October 2012

My wife, my son, his wife and me stayed in this apartment. We were disappointed:
      1. All 4 beds were cheap beds with cheap mattress.
      2. The airconditioner in the living room was leaking.
      3. The shower in the tiny master bathroom had only a piece of glass that covered only 1/4 length of the bath tub , no curtain ... Water was all over in the bath room each time we used the shower. The other shower in the 2nd bathroom flooded each time. Frustrating!
      4. We paid a deposit - 30% of the rent, us$900.00 through Paypal as demonded by the owner Cherry and she then charged additional 10% fees for using Paypal.
      5. Cherry demanded the rest of the rent be paid in Taiwan dollars of NT$18,000 at the time of check-in with her own us$1=NT$30 money exchange rate when the current bank rate was us$1=NT$29.075. Another additional charges.
      6. We had 4 adults in our group but Cherry would only provide two sets of keys and wrote "It is universal hotel policy to give out only two sets". I am a GM of a company doing international travel business, I never heard of such "Universal Hotel Policy." I did not like this at all. It created lots of inconveniences for us.
In all, it was not worth for the money and the apartment was far from comfortable, not to mention luxury.

Response from Cherry Hung - 01/06/2013

      Cherry Hung

This review was not written in good faith for the simple reason that all other reviews of our apartment give it a very high rating. This particular guest made a request that we provide him with four sets of keys, which we refused to do on the grounds that it was unreasonable. After our refusal and well before he came to our apartment, this guest then wrote us an email in which he clearly stated that he was going to post a negative review of our apartment unless we provided him with the four sets of keys that he demanded.

Apart from the fact that we did refuse his request for being extremely unreasonable and a security risk, none of the assertions made by this guest are true and indeed they are motivated by a malicious and vindictive intention to hurt our business. We invite therefore our intending guests to pay no attention to this review and to read carefully all other reviews that are much more truthful and useful.

We strive to provide excellent services to all our guests and our apartment is among the very best in Taipei.

      Great place for family

Left on 10/29/2012 for a stay in October 2012

We were at the apartment for one week. The location is perfect for a family holiday as it is only 5 minutes away from Sogo department store and another 2 minutes to the MRT station. The attractions were easily reached via the MRT and the kids love Yang Ming Mountain. They also enjoyed the science centre near by. We also went to Tian Shui and caught a ferry across and cycle around. It was a really relaxing outing especially dining by the water's edge.
We didn't actually cook at the apartment as food outlets were everywhere. Lots to choose from near Sogo and even just across the road. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Will stay again if we return.

      Home away from Home

Left on 05/12/2012 for a stay in April 2012

If you want a home away from home, this is it. It’s a single apartment unit in a high-rise residential building conveniently located near shops, cafes, restaurants, bus stops and a MRT station that connects to everywhere in Taipei. You can easily think you are staying in the better parts of Manhattan or Paris, especially when you look out to the park from the coffee shop window that’s just a block away from the apartment. The apartment is immaculate, modern, and fully equipped with all the facilities for comfortable living. But don’t think of it as a full-service apartment with a staff on the premise, like some of those run by hotel chains. You are pretty much on your own, although the owner, Cherry, can be contacted by e-mail and she always responded to mine within 24-hrs or less. Also, you need to get use to using the key for the main entrance to the building, that’s locked every night. It takes practice to make it works.

      Clean modern apartment.

Left on 04/04/2012 for a stay in March 2012

I did feel uneasy renting an apartment through a private 3rd party on another continent, but everything was as described, and we had no issues. Driver appeared at the airport on time, reps were waiting at the apartment to give us keys and show us around, the place had maps and other local info. The apartment was a bit on the small side, but probably large for Taipei, and we had plenty of space. Traveled with two work colleagues, so it ended up being much cheaper than booking 3 separate hotel rooms, plus we had the common space (and free wifi) to work together at the end of the day. The building itself is a bit dumpy - don't expect and "lobby appeal", but once you're inside the apartment, it's perfectly clean and modern and actually quite nice. Location not exactly ideal (we went to the convention center each day), but it's a few blocks from the MRT, and near the best night market, so no problem. Had to send a reminder to get my deposit refunded, but after that, it came right through.

      Great apartment in Taipei

Left on 12/31/2011 for a stay in December 2011

Great alternate option to hotel rooms for a family. Fantastic location close to transport - MRT, the Sogo department store, supermarket and foodhall - the dumpling restaurant level B1 is superb. The apartment is very well apointed, clean and comfortable with 3 bedrooms which suited our family of 5.

      Comfortable apartment in Convenient Location

Left on 07/18/2011 for a stay in June 2011

My family enjoyed staying here for a month. The apartment was clean, modern, and well-managed. We especially liked the open floor plan, the plentiful natural light, and the strong air conditioning units in every room.
Anytime you are hungry, you can step out the back alley for countless eateries, as well as the outdoor market in the mornings. To stock up on groceries, just head up the block to the supermarket in the basement of Sogo, where you will also find the premier dumpling house in Taipei, Ding Tai Fung. If you find yourself craving a fresh salad after all the street food, go to the organic salad bar at the Market Cafe just across from Sogo.
The public buses go right past the apartment, and the MRT is about 10 minutes' walk.

There are two quirks about the apartment: 1) There is a bad odor coming from the shower drain. You can alleviate the situation by keeping the shower door closed. Also, I eventually found a piece of plastic under the sink marked: "Drain Cover, to avoid bad smell."
      2) We kept finding mosquitoes in the master bathroom. This stopped happening when we kept the drain closed.

Overall, a wonderful place to make home base in the city of Taipei.

      A very comfortable Stay!

Left on 07/09/2011 for a stay in May 2011

We had a very comfortable stay in this apartment. Everything is right for us. The location is perfect. Tienmu is the best area in Taipei for westerners like us. And the apartment is very clean, spacious and full of light. The amenities are new and complete. Wi-Fi interent and Cable TV are also a big plus. Management is very approachable and friendly. We have been looked after very well during our stay.

Nice, spacious apartment in a great location!

Left on 01/30/2011 for a stay in December 2010

First of all - about the apartment. It is exactly as described and shown in the pictures - neat, clean with everything provided. Pretty much home away from home. The main bed could be firmer but that's just me. A couple of minor issues were quickly sorted out by the helpful manager who was only a quick call away, and Cherry always responded promptly to emails. Cable tv was very welcome for those rainy days or when we didn't feel like getting out.

Location wise, previous reviewers have pretty much said it all. Sogo, Carrefours, Takashimaya, banks and a post office are all within a short walking distance, and 7-11's are literally everywhere. Plenty to explore (and eat) in the surrounding areas - just catch the MRT, bus or taxi (or walk!). Shilin night market is also just a couple of MRT stops away. We always felt safe in the area - even late at night.

I really like the design of the bedrooms and the open plan kitchen. Everything is so new and clean. Location is very convenient. Mrt and shops are close to the apartment. Walking along Zhongcheng Road is also a pleasant experience with lots of parks and shops.

Left on 05/27/2010 for a stay in May 2010

This is the highest quality apartment with 7/11 just across the street, a few minutes walk to MRT, 2 stops from Shilin night markets and the apartment is fully furnished with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. There was fantastic little touches like a western power adapter, I took my two children so there were even 2 plastic bowls. The owner made great recommendations for dining and attractions which were really good.

It is spacious, bright and clean. Each room has windows with beautiful views. For the money we spend, it's 5 star hotel quality. We love the location and the place. Definitely will be back again.
