I've stayed at peaceful pines a couple times this fall and it's turned out to be a great place. It heats up fast, the kitchen is large(bigger than my kitchen at home) and there is a lot of space to spread out.
The home is in a great neighborhood and just feels like home when you get there. I'd recommend Peaceful Pines to anyone and I hope I can book again this winter to go snowboarding at squaw.

I love staying at Peaceful Pines because its amenities are fabulous for any season. I have stayed at Peaceful Pines in the summer and winter and have enjoyed the home and locale more each and every time I stay. The home is located in nestled in the woods of a quiet Tahoe Donner neighborhood, which is great for a peaceful stay with friends and/or family. Peaceful Pines is a short distance to the great dining and recreation Tahoe Donner has to offer for all ages, all-year round. And if you're not sure of what to do, the owners of Peaceful Pines have a great resource binder to lead you straight to both food and fun! But if you choose to stay in, the Peaceful Pines home has luxurious amenities to keep you entertained in comfort: a gas fireplace, huge Hdtv with cable and a DVD library, Nintendo Wii, cards and boardgames, high-speed wireless internet (with a apple desktop computer in the master bedroom) and hot tub. I also enjoy the ability to have a "home away from home" with a full kitchen and washer/dryer available in the home. Peaceful Pines also makes me feel at home because it has nearly everything provided for you - from linens and towels to soap and shampoo/conditioner, they thought of everything! But perhaps the most amazing thing about Peaceful Pines is that it is 100% allergy friendly - I never have to worry about my severe allergies when I stay. I encourage families, couples or any luxury-minded traveler to stay at Peaceful Pines any time of year because the home and the locale has so much to offer.

The cabin itself has a great layout and great feel. Its close to the resorts and very easy to get in and out of. The hot tub was great! The flat screens upstairs and downstairs made it easy for movie watching and wii and the same time! Overall just a great cabin.

Loved staying here! Would definitely do it again! The floor plan is super cozy and yet there was plenty of space for our big group. Loved the openness of the vaulted ceilings. Felt like I had privacy and space, yet not closed off from what everybody was doing. Very clean and contemporary and nice! Location was close to a lot of different supermarkets and main roads.

We have stayed in this this cabin at least 6 times. It's a perfect combination of modern conveniences and appliances meets rustic cozy cabin. Need to get your HD/Blu Ray DVD fix? Try 3 HD Tv's to suit your needs. Want to sip a beverage in a hot tub surrounded by Pines while snow falls on your head? Try their modern and always working hot tub. Want to cook up a gourmet meal? The modern stainless steel appliance kitchen can help even the most rudimentery cook be a master chef. Enjoy the fireplace, enjoy the Wii, enjoy a game of Poker on their Poker Table. This is the perfect place for you!

Talk about Clean and Comfortable--this house has it all! Michael, the owner thonks of everything to insure that his guests have everything to make their stay the best. Located in a quiet, attractive neighborhood convenient to the freeway and a great restaurant (The Lodge). We enjoyed Bbqing the first night there and afterwards watching a DVD from his wide selection. The next morning we were able to check our email on the computer easily.
He thoughtfully provides a first aid kit, all cleaners, paper towels and napkins, a basic variety of spices, tea, hotchocolate, fresh coffee beans and a grinder. Shampoo, soap and conditioner in bathrooms.
The appliances are of top quality and he has alll the pans and cooking utensils you need.
We have a senior father in Massachusets we like to call daily so it was great to be able to use his house phone to check on Dad.
It was also nice to have nightlights in all the rooms and alarm clocks on each bedside table. Very thoughtful!
The owner is a pleasure to deal with and we had a wonderful time there. Highly recommend it!

Peaceful Pines is the kind of place you go to once and you can't wait to go back. A great place for all seasons. We went during winter and got to enjoy the winter weather while soaking in the outdoor hot tub. We found a nice indoor place for our 2 year son to play nearby and even took him to a ski resort that has a play area for young children.
The location couldn't be better and it's so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed being able to cook our own meals and being warm and cozy inside while looking out the large living room window at the falling snow.
The neighborhood is very quiet - we didn't see anyone or hear anyone. We enjoyed our stay very much. A home away from home is hard to find but we found that in Peaceful Pines.

Several friends and I wanted a nice getaway for a 40th birthday weekend. Peaceful Pines was a great getaway, a nice place to hang out and enjoy the trees, hot tub, and other amenities, but it's also close enough to the outdoor activities the area offers. We had a great weekend!

We had such a wonderful time at Peaceful Pines! The home is located in a beautiful wooded area near the town center of Truckee. The home was a great hub for us during our day trip excursions fishing, hiking and exploring. We had to convince our kids to even get out of the house...they were entralled with the Wii in the upstairs loft. We made regular use of the immaculately kept hot tub on the chilly fall nights. Overall, the house was great lodging and enhanced our vacation! Thank you for use of your wonderful home!
Peaceful Pines is clean, spacious and perfect for all seasons. Visiting from Boston, my mother in law immediately announced that she didn't want to leave and I completely agreed with her. The location is great, the mountain views outstanding, the air is crisp and fresh, and we were never bored for things to do and see,
We found it to be a wonderful, relaxing place with every amenity needed to feel at home. I would highly recommend Peaceful Pines to anyone looking for a wonderful mountain get-away!

Michael's cabin was a great place to stay for an end of the year getaway. The convenient location was a major plus, being very close to supermarkets and resorts. However the cabin was not cramped... and neighboring cabins were quite a distance away which made the outside hot tub very enjoyable. Great views, 2 Tv's (upstairs and downstairs) and very clean. Definitely would stay here again!

My husband and I were looking for a for a place to stay in the Truckee/Tahoe area for a much needed rest. We were drawn to Peaceful Pines during our web search. The site was really informative, the pictures were great and I loved the idea of a staying in an allergy free place. The place did not disappoint! Peaceful Pines is beautifully appointed with all the amenities of home. I am already planning my next trip since we were not able to do everything we wanted to do this time.

My husband and I stayed at Peaceful Pines for 3 nights in early June. It's a great location for a Tahoe getaway. There are many outdoor activity options nearby. The location, near Truckee, is convenient for exploring the dining, shopping, etc. in the north Tahoe area. But, it's also just a great place to hang out. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking. And, the in-house entertainment options are amazing (multiple Tv's, game table) for a cozy evening in.
Unfortunately for us, the hot tub had gone out of commission just before our arrival. But, the owner was on his way to the cabin to fix it on our check-out day.

Peaceful Pines is an excellent home away from home. The house has everything you need to cook, have fun, and relax, with the addition of being in the woods. The cabin's rustic feel really makes you feel like you are somewhere special and i will look forward to my next stay.
Our visit to Peaceful Pines was even more than we hoped. The pools, horses and Truckee are so close by. We loved the backyard and the neighborhood. The house was in excellent shape and met our needs perfectly.

This was a great place to stay! Our family rents cabins in the Truckee/Lake Tahoe area, and this has been the most well kept cabin we have rented. The cabin is very clean and had lots of things to keep us entertained - a hot tub, board games, wii, Blue Ray DVD player, and wi-fi. The kitchen had all the tools I needed to cook a few meals, and the property's information book had some good local restaurant information. The local convenience store was closed when we were there, but the local Safeway was only a few miles away.
