Spectacular Lake & Ski View

Incline Village house

  • 3 bedrooms
  • 3 bathrooms
  • sleeps 8

“Top of the World” We only stayed here 2 nights, but would have loved a longer visit. The house is in good shape and the views are spectacular, as advertised. Kitchen was fine, and master suite was very comfortable, with extra space for our 10-mo old to sleep in the (provided!) Pack-n-play. The baby items provided were a huge help, as we traveled by air. Suzannah was extremely attentive and responsive to my questions and made sure we had a comfortable stay. Location is great, but just expect a bit of a windy drive up and down to/from Incline Village. The only reason I gave service 4 stars is because of a few very minor points of confusion related to garage parking (not available), changes to wifi, and having to take out the trash, but Suzannah kindly explained these things to me, or did her best to clarify any confusion. Older folks might like having a bedroom on the main floor, and there are no steps unless you use the upstairs master suite or sauna/workout room. I'd highly recommend this place to a friend. Would love to come back for a snowy or summertime visit.

About Carnelian Bay

For a quiet and relaxing vacation in a beautiful and secluded town, Carnelian Bay is a perfect choice. The great beaches, fine dining options, and access to all that the Lake Tahoe area has to offer will allow you to return from your stay feeling rested and rejuvenated. Several boutique shops and restaurants can be found along Main Street, the biggest road in the area, but there's something interesting to do no matter where you are in town.

Here are some of the must-see attractions to check out during your stay:

  • Martis Creek Wildlife Area Trail: In addition to great hiking trails, this area also has a vast reservoir that holds 20,400 acre-feet of water.
  • Squaw Valley: Known for having some of the most difficult ski trails in the area, Squaw Valley is also home to several sprawling homes owned by the rich and famous.
  • Coon Street Beach: This popular dog beach has picnic tables and BBQ areas, making it a great day spot for the whole family.
  • Rocking Stone Tower: Weighing in at 17 tons, this glacier formation is considered a geological anomaly.
  • Magic Carpet Golf: One of the best places for mini-golf in the area, Magic Carpet Golf hosts three different courses with varying levels of difficulty.

Many of the events and festivals in the area have a nautical theme, with several regional and national boating competitions taking place between the spring and fall. The biggest festival in the area is the Wooden Boat Festival, held every July, which displays a wide range of wooden antique boats that have been restored to their original condition and draws participants from all over the world. Luckily, no matter what time of year you plan to visit, you'll have no trouble finding a vacation rental in Carnelian Bay. Whether you want a spacious home that can fit the whole family, or a luxury condo within walking distance of the ocean and major attractions, there's a property available which has everything you need for your next getaway.
