Description

This delightful, semi-detached barn conversion is situated on a working farm and can sleep up to eight people in comfort.This delightful, semi-detached stone barn conversion is on a working farm and offers spacious holiday accommodation for parties up to eight people. The well-equipped fitted kitchen has exposed beams, giving it a âcountry farmhouse' feel and the dining area is also located in this space. The spacious sitting room is comfortable and welcoming with a stone feature fireplace housing an electric flame effect fire, giving instant warmth and a cosy feel to the room. The four bedrooms are light and appealing with sloping ceilings, making them snug and inviting and a real haven of peace. There are two bathrooms serving the property, one of which is a shower room on the ground floor. There is a lovely lawned area with furniture and fishing rights for the River Esk are available from the owner, as long as visitors have a fishing licence. Note - this property can only accept bookings for a minimum of 3 nights.

Amenities: Oil central heating with electric fire in sitting room. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV, DVD player, radio/cassette player. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. Off road parking for 3 cars. Lawned garden with garden furniture. Fishing rights for the Esk available from the owner (must have own licence). Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 5 mins walk, pub 10 mins walk. Note: This property lies on the A171 and is situated next to a caravan site.

Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: The fishing port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is well placed for exploring this wonderful part of Yorkshire with its spectacular coastline and the magnificent North York Moors. St Hilda's Abbey is high on Whitby's East Cliff as is the parish church of St Mary and the 199 steps leading up to them is well worth the climb. Bram Stoker was inspired by the atmospheric town to write Dracula. Whitby is also famous for Jet, a beautiful gemstone and the Victorian Jet Works will shed insight into the jet industry. Other attractions in Whitby are the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and the Dracula Experience. With its safe beaches and access to the North York Moors, Whitby is a tremendous base for a family holiday.

“Beautiful location- stunning views”

Lovely cottage - although kitchen is small for 8 people . Would be much better if the large table was in the beautiful living room so eight people could sit round it comfortably.

Very comfortable stay cottage was very clean well presented and ample room for the eight of us. Location is very central to North Yorkshire tourist attractions. Would stay there again.
