“Good break” Two friends and ourselves had a very pleasant stay in June, weather reasonably good considering this summer. Cottage was very clean with all the extras you could wish for. Owners very nice but did not see them after taking over the property as they were off on holiday the following day. Cottage handy for attractions and a nice place to return to at the end of the day.

“excellent break” Stayed in Honey Bee in early 2013. The property is lovely, spotlessly clean and well presented. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners - even digging our car out of the snow! Would go again without question.

“Fantastic 80th birthday celebrations” We stayed at South View for the Bank holiday weekend, a family celebration of my Dad's 80th birthday. We enjoyed cooking and serving some great meals in the fabulous dining room, doing a jigsaw on the table in the lounge, playing cricket, rounders and croquet on the lawn and all in all, having a wonderful family weekend. We were a mixed group ranging from 21 to 80 and the owner was happy for us to invite a few extra family members for afternoon tea on Sunday. Communication with the owner was very easy and he answered every question quickly. Highly recommend you try it.

Sunrise Apartment The Bay at Filey
Excellent apartment with great location!

Lovely apartment that has been extremely well kept, it's within 15 mins walk from the beach and 10 mins drive from Filey. There are nice places to eat on site and great leisure facilities. As we are nursing student we needed WiFi for assignments and even though this is stated on the website there was no WiFi which really impacted on our break.see more
NO. 1 LOW HALL COTTAGES, pet friendly, with a garden in Scalby, Ref 6959
1 Lowhill Cottage, Scalby

Someone met us with the keys and showed us round the cottage. Explained how the boiler worked for heating and hot water and told us of all the local amenities. The rooms were all immaculate and comfortable could not ask for more. Local amenities were good and within walking distance from the cottage. Loved the quietness of the area particularly sat out in the garden in the evenings, was lovely to just sit and relax. Nothing that I did not like and can't wait to go again.see more
QUAYSIDE HOUSE, large family property, just yards from beach, close to castle
Absolute luxury

We stayed at this house for a week in july ..there were 7 of us and i must say it's one of the best holidays i've ever had...the house is so spacious and very tastefully decorated with no expense spared. it was a joy to come home to every night after busy day out..it was so nice that i actually enjoyed staying in. I loved every foom and the kitchen was so big and was a great social space for us with the big table. It is a stones throw away from the seafront, yet hidden enough for privacy and peace and quiet. too handy for the local chip shop at the end of the road though! Yvonne who owns the house was very friendly and very helpful .see more
BERRY BANKS COTTAGE, end-mews cottage, modern stylish accommodation, close to
A cosy home from home, in beautiful surroundings.

I stayed here with my 2 year old daughter and we had a great time. The cottage is equipped with everything you could ever possibly need (board games, high chair + stair gates etc) and has amazing views over open countryside to the rear and across the viaduct to the front. It's immaculately clean and comfortably / tastefully furnished - we didn't want to leave!see more

Great house & location

Really lovely home...very homely and everything spotlessly clean. Flowers and chocolates were a nice touch. I would definitely stay there again. The second lounge/play room was great for us. The only downside is the garden, which is a small courtyard, but we knew that before we went. Barbeque items were provided and we managed to use them. Only a 5 minute walk to Tesco's and the town for strolling around the shops. And only a 10 minute walk to the beach. Was great not to have to use the car all the time.see more

Fantastic House with the Wow Factor!

Stayed at South Wing with my extended family. On arrival, we were blown away by how grand the house is. We felt very lucky to be staying in such a beautiful house with its high ceilings and wood panelled walls. There was plenty of room for the children to run around without disturbing the adults. We found the kitchen to be well equipped. The garden was breathtaking and we were fortunate to have good weather so we could enjoy croquet on the lawn. The location is excellent and it only took a few minutes to walk into the village of Hunmanby and a short car journey to the beach at Reighton Sands or Hunmanby Gap if you prefer. We particularly enjoyed spending time in the stunning Drawing room. I would have given this property 5 stars. However, there were just a couple of things that need addressing. We are quite a musical family and were disappointed to find that several keys on the baby grand piano kept sticking. The shower in the second ensuite bedroom was extremely small so it was very difficult to move around in and finally the barbecue needed a good clean before we could use it. However, these are just minor points and did not detract in any way from a wonderful, memorable stay at South Wing.see more
