“Very satisfactory.” Service excellent.very comfortable very clean.everything you could want in the Chapel.location quite excellent centre for walking and sightseeing. Enjoyed our stay .only things to say had real problems with cooker even though there was instructions I found the stairs steep.i would visit again.

“Lovely cosy hideaway” What a lovely, cosy cottage. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we had the most relaxing time. The cottage is beautifully furnished, comfortable and cosy. The kitchen is really well appointed and the log burning stove adds a lovely, country feel. For us the best thing was that our puppy Bailey loved it! The courtyard is totally secure so he was able to have a run around without us worrying. On our arrival we were greeted by a lovely box of cakes, jar of coffee, fresh milk and a local paper which, after a long drive, were very very welcome. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are hoping to return later this year!

“A brilliant place to stay” Everything was just right for an excellent family holiday. Clean, the beds were comfortable, there was plenty to entertain the kids and it was in a good position for getting to a range of venues. Just don't eat at the village pub-had to be the worst food and least friendly waitress-although the beer and landlord werte good.

“excellent, great place, well positioned everything it says in br” We were met by the proprietor who had just finished cleaning. He showed us where the key was an how everything worked. The cottage was clean, tidy, plenty of wood for woodburner and full of character. We loved the mezzanine bedroom and the shower room. Kitchen was very good with plenty of cutlery and crockery. Lots of info on area and a special offer for a meal at the Indian restaurant nearby. Nothing we disliked about it as it was all as described.

“Brillant, Tranquil place, absolutely Fab.” Everything was absolutely brillant and would advise any person to go and enjoy this rural part of Yorkshire and the beautiful Lodge we stayed in. On arrival until departure you couldnt fault the premises, Sue & Ben have got everything covered to the best possible angle. It was a delight, didnt want to head home at all. Woke up in the monring to see the Deer in the forest side, pheasants galore and just so much wildlife wondering about. Bliss..... Sue and Ben have a beautiful dog to called Finlay who is an absolute star. All I can say is - if you dont go you will be missing out on an one hell of a spot.

A lovely cottage

A lovely cottage but found the stairs very dangerous to both adults and kids due to being very steep with no banister! my husband and I decided to let the kids have the double room as the other room had no door and opened onto steep stairs maybe an idea to change beds round and put singles in the main room? The kitchen could do with more equiptment as 4 of us struggled and were always washing up as needed plates etc for next meal location was fab couldn't be faulted parking good as managed to park at front of property as space provided was taken by next door … see more

A lovely little retreat

Cherry tree cottage was a great little find and we will most definately be visiting again. There's everything you need within walking distance and the log burner turns the cottage into a cosy Warm retreat after a day visiting Whitby, Scarborough or the North York moors! Horseshoe Cottage
So welcoming

We arrived a little early Tracy was still cleaning the cottage just putting the finishing touch to it-she made us so welcome within the hour she brought still hot flap jacks & milk.We loved our stay at Horseshoe cottage the bed was superb lovely & comfy ?Tracy very kindly brought a seat for me to use in the shower because I struggle to stand for long enough to shower .the cottage was fitted out with everything you need even washing machine so Jean was able to do the wash before coming home always a plus.Our dog Jack was made a great fuss of & the dog belonging to Tracy & Andy became friendly to him both the dogs were of a timid nature.The whole area has much to offer tourists lots to see & do we have been to the region many times & we love it … see more
