The Mountain House Retreat is situated on 10+ beautiful acres in the Catskill mountains with panoramic views, a private fresh water pond and lovely forest landscape. This fully furnished mountain house, has an open living space with fireplace. 5 bedrooms, 2 baths, internet service, 2 outdoor decks overlooking the mountain views and 2+acre spring fed fresh water pond. Bocce court. Kayaks and inner tubes available to use on the pond. Wonderful for friend and family get togethers!

Only minutes from downhill and cross country skiing, ice skating, fishing, golf courses, whitewater rafting, restaurants, antique shops, concert halls, art galleries, wineries, theaters, and more!

Getting around

Car recommended. The Mountain House can also be reached by bus (Adirondack Trailways) to the town of Windham, then taxi (Majestic Mountain Taxi) from the bus stop in town to The Mountain House. Or, via train (Amtrack) to the Hudson, NY train station, and taxi from train station to The Mountain House.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If David (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
