Description
A large luxury house with 6 bedrooms and plenty of space for 13 guests. Glynllifon literally means “the house in the valley where the stream flows”. This spacious country home is set in its own grounds on the main Abersoch Road, encompassing an Iron Age Fort which dates back some 2000 years. There are even 5 large brick walls, dating back to the second world war, 'to stop the invasion in its track!' Large double gates allow you to enter the secluded property and grounds and external CCTV has been installed for your safety and security
The house is situated just outside Llanbedrog, a beautiful costal village with scenic walks, beaches and local pubs. Neighbouring Abersoch, was voted one of Sunday Times 'best places to live', here you will find numerous restaurants, pubs and shops and spectacular beaches with plenty of water-sports. The house itself is within walking distance of 2 beaches and 2 pubs. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a top UK holiday destination with golf courses, scenic coastal walks and cycle routes. Glynllifon is the perfect place to stay and explore the beautiful Llyn Penninsula or simply stay at the house, relax and enjoy!

This 6 bedroom, 4 bath/shower-room comfortably hosts 15 people. We happily host smaller groups. The large Country house is set in landscaped gardens with a stream and ponds.
Inside the house you fill find a large entertaining area, separate bar and fantastic amenities such as the huge whirlpool bath and pool table.
All linen is provided in line with booking numbers, this includes, quality cotton bedding, towels and tea towels.
No pets or animals are allowed inside the house or outside in the grounds.

Living Spaces
Glynllifon has a large open plan living space with comfortable lounge area over-looking the gardens with sofas and a 42” TV. The perfect space for relaxing after a busy day and great for chilled out holidays. The dining area has a large table and enough chairs for all guests. There is a pool table to keep the kids and adults entertained on rainy days. Across the hall there is a separate bar room, which is ideal for socialising with friends, or watching sport.
Cooking and Dining
With the beach less than a mile away you can work up an appetite before coming home and cooking up a feast in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy eating in the dining area, alternatively BBQ and dine al fresco on the patio overlooking the gardens.
The 6 burner gas hob, double oven, grill and large American fridge-freezer with ice making machine are ideal for large groups.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Comfort and space reigns at Glynllifon House. Sleeping 15 people comfortably, there is a range of Super King, King and Single beds providing options for single adults and couples, as well as children.
As well as the en-suite to the master bedroom and second people, there is a shared shower room on the first-floor landing and a separate WC and shower on the same floor. On the ground floor you will find a amazing large bathroom, with rain shower and a luxurious whirlpool bath big enough to fit a couple of people.

Gardens and Grounds
The house is approached via a long driveway, passing ponds, a putting green, lined with mature trees encompassing a 150 yd front garden and a large back garden both ideal for al fresco dining/ barbeques. Enjoy the fresh air on the patio area with outdoor seating and BBQ area. A natural stream runs along the wall and meanders its way from one pond onto the next before it finds its way to the sea. There is a firepit and seating area by the ponds where guests can sit and relax and toast marshmallows.

“Great place for a family gathering. Good location”
We stayed at Glynllifon for a week from 6th August 2022. It was our annual get together of our six grandchildren, parents and granny and grandad. The house was perfect for our purposes and was clean and well presented when we arrived with all the facilities described to us earlier. The children had a wonderful time both outside in the garden, inside in the spacious lounge with pool table and television. The smaller room with a bar was an excellent hideaway for the parents when necessary! Wi-Fi very strong. Good kitchen with plenty of facilities and a dining table to accommodate us all for family meals. We were fortunate with the wonderful weather and spent lots of time on the Llanbedrog beach. We had brought sailboards canoes etc which could be assembled and disassembled in the garden and on the beach. Access to the beach was great either a 12 minute walk or parking in the National Trust car park. Great beach bar for Granny and Grandad. Some lovely walks from the house which are a bit uphill but the Ship Inn is at the top of one of the walks. An excellent place to rent for a large gathering which we would recommend.

“Surreal experience (not in a good way!)”
Before booking this house we read a slightly disconcerting review on here detailing some controlling behaviour by the owners which made us have some misgivings. Unfortunately this house was all that was available so we went ahead. Our concerns however, proved to be valid…. We stayed at this house in June 2021. The conduct of the owners may well put you off booking, and means we certainly won’t be recommending this house to anyone. After informing them we had a small campervan that is our daily vehicle, and would be bringing this, but made it clear we wouldn’t be camping in it, or exceeding the agreed number of guests as per their Ts & C’s, they attempted to cancel our booking with approximately four hours notice. Two of our party were already in Abersoch, wondering where they could stay instead. Two elderly members of the party had to park in a lay-by and wait for instructions, whilst the others were unsure if their holiday was to go ahead. Nothing like this has ever happened in the many years we've been staying in holiday homes. We didn’t realise owners had the power to do this, but we’d strongly advise any potential renters to make sure you have alternative accommodation arranged in case they try and pull the carpet from under you like they tried to do to us. We tried to speak to the owner directly on the day to sort things out but unfortunately they hung up on us mid-conversation.… Thanks to Trip Advisor, they managed to persuade the owners to go ahead after much uncertainty and stress. The owners even tried to increase the damage deposit on the day to £1000. Once at the house, it could be described as ‘fine’, but we didn’t find any kind of ‘welcome’ pack or information. Again, the sense of mistrust and ill-feeling pervaded the place, thanks to numerous instructional messages placed in various rooms informing us of their do’s and don’ts, with written potential charges this would incur. We need to leave this review because sadly there hasn’t been a word of apology or gesture of goodwill from them for the tainted start to our holiday due to all the stress and uncertainty. Thanks to great beaches and great company we made the best of it and had a fab time but please take our story as a word of caution. I’m sure the owners will reply with more excuses rather than making up for their behaviour but we would warn you off.

“Fabulous!”
Lovely house & gardens. Plenty of room for a large group. Short walk to local pub, well stocked shop, beach & an amazing gallery. Jitty was an attentive & very helpful host. Highly recommended.
