Description

This large and spacious apartment is situated on the ground floor with views to the gardens, sea and within walking distance to the communal swimming pool.

The terrace, which spans the width of the apartment, offers you the opportunity to wine and dine whilst taking in the sea view and enjoying the beautiful sunsets in the evening. The lounge area, like the outdoor terrace, is south facing with floor to ceiling patio windows ensuring maximum light and terrific views. There are two beds in the bedroom and a further four sofa beds in the lounge area.

The complex itself is located on a hillside overlooking the Old Town of Albufeira and Fisherman's Beach and incorporates a large outdoor swimming pool and family BBQ area.

Only 5 minutes walk away you find yourself in the quaint Old Town of Albufeira with its restaurants, bars and refurbished Fisherman's square offering full entertainment for adults and children alike. Car hire is not necessary as two large supermarkets are within 5 to 10 minutes walk and a smaller supermarket is within a 2-minutes stroll.

Salgados, Vilamoura, Pine Cliffs and Vila Sol golf courses are all within a 10- to 15 minute drive.

Mentioning just a few of the other fantastic attractions the Algarve has to offer, they include Aquashow Park of Quarteira, Slide and Splash in Lagoa, Zoo Marine in Giua, the anual Fiesa Sand Sculpture festival (the largest in the world, running from April - October) and many more.

Access to the pool area is only a short stroll away from the apartment. Access to the apartment is via steps and therefore may not be suitable for less mobile guests. Security is excellent as it is a closed and gated condominium.

An English and Portuguese representative is available to contact should you require assistance.

Whilst linen, bath/hand towels are provided, please ensure you bring your own beach towels for use on the terraces, around the pool and on the beach. These can also be readily and cheaply purchased locally in town.

Entering the apartment you are welcomed by an open plan, light and spacious area offering you an upper dining level, with wall mounted air-conditioning unit, a fully equipped kitchen, access to the large air-conditioned bedroom and shower room. The lower lounge area has a TV showing more than 100 channels, two sofa beds with beds which pull out from beneath them, two chairs and coffee table. The apartment has its own dedicated WIFI. Winter heating is available, should it be necessary, via the air-conditioning and / or oil filled radiators.

The apartment sleeps 2 spaciously, 4 comfortably but can sleep 6 easily. The two single beds in the bedroom can be pushed together, and there are 4 sofa beds in the living area.

The large terrace has a dining table and chairs and is accessed via patio doors from the lounge area.

The complex comprises of a mixture of residential and holiday lets. There is a large outdoor swimming pool with a shallow end for children. There is free street parking outside the complex. Just across from the pool is an area guests can utilise for BBQing.

Getting around

Walking to various locations within the old town is easy and, free of course. You will also find plentiful taxi's available to take you to your chosen location or buses, some taking you across the Algarve and others, from the main Bus Station can take you further afield into the Alentejo, Lisbon and O'Porto etc., There is a local tourist train operating to take you site-seeing around the area and main line trains are available from Ferrieras Train Station in Albufeira with a 2.5 hour journey into Lisbon and approx. 5 hours into O Porto.

Interaction with guest

Check in is usually at 3pm and we request that guests depart the apartment no later than 11am, however, when possible, we will be a flexible as possible in allowing you early entry or late departure at no extra cost and we will always do our very best in allowing you to leave your luggage in a safe place should immediately access into the apartment not be possible. We are also able to offer you an airport transfer service - please ask for details and prices. As the complex is a mixture of permanent residents and holiday makers, late night music and parties are and will not be tolerated.

“Fantastic Location”

Amazing location and the view is to die for. Apartment is on the ground floor so obviously the views would be better in the higher apartments but its still spectacular. So handy to the pool, you can walk over straight from the balcony. Plenty of sun loungers around the pool at all times of the day. It's only a 5 minute walk to the escalator which takes you down to the beach. The walk back sure is good for the fitness lol. There are quite a few steps to navigate when leaving the complex so wouldn't be suited with someone with mobility issues. The apartment had everything needed. Washing machine was very handy to freshen up towels etc. The apartment did feel a bit stuffy at times but plenty of fans and a portable air conditioning unit is there if needed. Philippa was very prompt with her replies to my emails and that was reassuring. This apartment is compact but it can sleep 5/6 people with no issues. The shower was powerful and was fab. Internet had no issues either. If you're looking for a central location you can't go wrong here. Would definitely recommend.

“Perfect locations and great views”

The apartment was absolutely perfect and catered to all of our needs and more. We had a brilliant holiday and the apartment topped it off. The location was ideal and the views from the apartment were beautiful. The pool was lovely and quiet and had plenty of loungers for everyone to use.

“Great location and perfect for the family”

We stayed in this apartment with 2 adults and 3 children comfortably. Although it's only got 1 bedroom, the beds in the living room were full size mattress and comfortable for the children. The apartment itself is large and definitely had everything we needed while away The area and location was perfect. Literally 5-10 minutes to the beach and 15 minutes into the old town. Ideal location from faro Airport and not too far to zoomarine and algarve shopping centre! Lidl and aldi also a 10-15 min walk away but I'd suggest walking to continental instead as so much more choice and reasonable prices! Mc Donald's and kfc also 10 mins walk away. A few parks around from smaller children. If you are disabled or have any type of knee or back problems or find stairs difficult then do not book this apartment as there is around 100 stairs to get in and out of the complex and becomes hard work after a few days. We found that most days we had the pool to ourselves which was lovely and the whole complex was quiet, well maintained and amazing views of the sea and the old town. We used ubers to get around, be careful of prices as change every minute and sometimes double the price. The apartment was clean and tidy and well equipped when we arrived. My only slight issue was the towels seemed to not of been washed or smelt like they had been used beforehand but having a washer in the apartment this wasn't a issue at all as I just rewashed them before using. Bed sheets were clean. We'd of liked more thinner sheets for beds in the living room but again wasn't a massive issue... Best of all the owner was very responsive and emailed back to my million questions and very fast too! Literally couldn't of felt more more comfortable and relaxed about booking. The apartment was ground floor which was great having a 3 year old that climbs alot and isn't trusted to not be watched no worries about balancy or falls then. Information for entry even at 11pm was spot on and had no trouble at all. Overall a great owner, location and everything you need for a home from home. Wouldn't hesitate to book with this lady again or any of her apartments again!

Regarding the towels, I'd like to reassure you they are all laundered by a laundery firm so were indeed clean but..... as a precaution, I am now going to instruct that they are all laundered again and bagged up to keep the fresh smell in them. As you can imagine, we have a lot so maybe they had lost their freshness. The steps, yes, there are indeed only 49 of them down to the apartment but, when going up them, it can feel like a lot more - ha ha.
