Description
Cortijo Las Montoras is a 250 year old 5 bedroom farmhouse (Cortijo), carefully renovated to a very high standard located in the heart of the Andalucian countryside, near the city of Alhama de Granada.
Opening to the public in June 2014 Cortijo Las Montoras offers 3 en-suite double rooms and one en-suite family suite with two rooms sharing bathroom, large dining and living area, patio, magnificent views and large area for parking. Our traditional tiled floors, rustic farmhouse style furniture and decoration offers comfortable accommodation for you and your family.
The peace and tranquillity of the surrounding olive groves and cereal fields, offers the ideal place for relaxation, away from the stresses of urban life.
Alhama de Granada is a city full of history and natural and built monuments, from Los Tajos Gorge to arab buildings, churches and plazas.
Alhama is famous for its arab baths, Al Hammam, where the city name comes from and there are two spa's in Alhama that you can visit and relax in the natural mineral spring water. We are located 10 miles away from Alhama.
Alhama has restaurants and bars to suit all tastes where you get your free tapa with every drink, small family run supermarkets and shops where you can find all you need for an enjoyable holiday.
The Alhambra, built by the arabs as a small fortress in 889, located in Granada City and extended and refurbished during the XIV century, it is one of the finest examples of arab architecture in Spain and you can drive from Cortijo Las Montoras to the Alhambra in one hour. The Alhambra is a World Heritage site and well worth a visit.
The Sierra Nevada ski station is only 1 hour away and the nearest sea front beach is 50 minutes drive. You can also be in a lake or forest in 30 minutes. The options for leisure are endless.
Malaga airport is only 90 minutes away and Granada airport is 30 minutes away.
Due to our countryside location, car hire is recommended as there are no taxis in the area or regular public transport services.
We are happy to prepare your breakfast to suit your special dietary needs, with vegetarian, vegan, raw, halal and kosher options available on request at time of booking. Please let us know of any allergies or preferences you may have to ensure your stay with us is as pleasant as possible.
We work closely with bicycle hire, rambling and walking companies, arab bath spa's, swimming pool, bars and restaurants, horse riding, tai-chi and yoga instructors, shiatsu and traditional masseurs, etc. so you can do whatever you want to experience during your stay. Just let us know what you fancy at time of booking to help you organise your activities.
Cortijo Las Montoras is a family run B&B with the property owners living on site. Friendly, warm, comfortable atmosphere for you to relax and enjoy your holiday.

“AMAZING!!!”
We had a really good moment, it was Amazing!!!! Suck a beautiful view a VIEW Alina is a Super host, all the room are very clean the breakfast is amazing. I recommend 100% !

My group of 10 stayed one night at the beautiful Cortijo Las Montoras. Alina was a wonderful host taking care of food and tours. Very comfortable rooms to relax in the countryside of Andalucia.

“The sounds of silence”
A perfect place to enjoy Alhama de Granada and near by Granada, Málaga, and Córdoba. Beautiful views fron the terrace and the silence and stars at night is amazing.
