Description
Midwood Cottage is a beautiful 4 star rated holiday cottage in Alnmouth. It has one large king size bedroom with en-suite shower-room. There is a pretty lounge-diner with a modern fully fitted kitchen with washer drier, dish washer and free WIFI. There is a huge woodland garden with a ‘friendly pheasant’, bunnies, as well as a fantastic tree house for children and a Tarzan swing. There is a bicycle shed, parking and lots of outdoor space.
Alnmouth's beautiful sandy beach is just 5 minutes walk away and the area has been designated as an area of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty'. There is a little marina in the estuary which is lovely. It is just 5 minutes walk from family friendly pubs, restaurants and shops in the village centre. It has a fantastic tree house in the garden and a Tarzan swing.
The Cottage comfortably sleeps 2 adults and it also has a sofa bed. We also have a travel cot and high chair.
Midwood Cottage and Midwood Lodge are two holiday homes which are attached and can be booked separately or together. Children will love the fantastic tree house and swings in the garden. The garden is huge and very private with 2 separate patio areas and views towards the River Aln. There is parking for 4 vehicles too which is rare in the village. We also have Family Friendly status, Cyclists Welcome and Walkers Welcome.

The Cottage has been completely refurbished and has a fully equipped kitchen with a washer/dryer and dishwasher. There is a gorgeous lounge-diner and a modern fully fitted kitchen area. The sofa converts in to a sofa bed. The bed is king size and has a shower-room en-suite. There is a baby high chair and a travel cot available.

Outside there is a sunny private patio area with garden furniture, for the sole use for the guests of the Cottage. There is a huge garden and a unique tree house for children to play in. It is just 5 minutes walk from local amenities, post office, village shops and local pubs,

“Annual Alnmouth Visit”
Midwood Cottage was absolutely perfect and situated in a peaceful area of the village.The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished and immaculate in every way. My daughter and I have stayed in 14 different cottages/apartments in Alnmouth and it is the only one,to which we plan to return.Finally,the Welcome tray,card and flowers were fabulous.

“Lovely cottage and good location”
Lovely place to stay. Very relaxing and private. Comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Thoroughly enjoyed the welcome package especially the cake! Very convenient location for visiting all the main attractions and 5 minutes walk into the village. Would certainly stay again if in the area. Definitely recommend this beautiful cottage!

We enjoyed a lovely week at Midwood Cottage. The cottage was clean, cosy and well furnished, with everything we could have needed - and the cake and Prosecco awaiting us was very well received! The cottage was a great base for exploring the wonders of Northumberland, with a fabulous beach, restaurants and deli on the doorstep. Thank you for a lovely stay - I’m sure we’ll be back!
