Description

A wonderful, recently refurbished, two bedroom apartment on the top floor of a superbly maintained building situated on the Boulevard du Cap. There is an outdoor pool for residents use, beautifully maintained communal gardens and a lift. A special feature of the apartment is it's spacious south facing terrace which overlooks the pine trees of Cap d'Antibes and it's iconic lighthouse. The terrace is particularly spacious with room for both a large dining table and seating areas. At night the terrace is particularly atmospheric. There is a new kitchen installed for summer 2020. The apartment has a garage for parking. The apartment lies 150 metres from several beaches, ( La Salis & Le Ponteil and La Gravette) which are sandy, safe and child friendly. They are also free to use, however several private and "chic" beaches are also within an easy walk. It is a 5 min walk to the old town and all its charms, including the renowned Le Marche Provencal and Picasso museum. Equidistant in walking time is the charming and uniquely French resort of Juan Les Pins. There is a renowned boulangerie , and excellent local shops, supermarket and bistros 100 metres from the apartment. The apartment consists of two double bedrooms, a spacious sitting room, modern family bathroom and charming kitchen with all mod cons. All rooms in the apartment open on to the large, south facing, terrace, which make them light filled and airy . There is Air Con in both bedrooms and living room.. There is a flat screen TV with satellite channels, ipod/iPhone dock, and free WiFi/internet connection. Quality bed linens & towels are provided.

The French Riviera - Cote d'Azur region.

The beautiful maritime old town of Antibes is steeped in local history, amongst it's winding old streets. Wonderful old stone buildings, food markets, museums, clothes markets, and chic boutiques are plentiful. Outside the rampart walls lies Port Vauban, with it's array of magnificent super yachts. If you want to explore further afield, the train station in Antibes takes you west along the coast to Cannes, with it's designer shops and where the famous Film Festival takes place. East on the train, takes you to Nice and on to Monaco, and across the border into Italy and it's own Riviera, less than an hour away. Great for a day trip. The train can also take you up to the hillside town of Grasse, famous for it's perfumes. If you don't feel like walking, there is a bus stop outside the apartment block, which can take you out the Cap to the renowned Hotel du Cap and the Eden Roc restaurant, or to Juan les Pins.

For ski enthusiasts, the Alpes Maritimes boasts several ski resorts, such as Isola 2000, Auron, Valberg and across the border in Italy, is Limone which is accessible by train.

Antibes Centre Ville

The golden sandy beaches of Salis, Ponteil and Gravette, 150 metres away, are extremely safe, with beautiful views when dipping into the warm Mediterranean sea. There are fantastic coastal walks to be taken from the apartment around Cap D'Antibes and a walk up the hill to the Lighthouse and chapel, which the apartment looks out on.

Juan les Pins is a very lively area and is a 5 minute walk across Cap D'Antibes. Famous for it's Jazz Festival, boutiques and beaches, it comes alive at night, and turns into a buzzing place, with street entertainers, restaurants, ice-cream parlours and late night clubs and casinos.

The kitchen is small we agree, but after all it is 2 bed apartment!! but all appliances you could require are there, including newly installed dishwasher, wine fridge , oven and hob. We are sorry you found it "tatty"?? Not sure what this means but we know everything is spotless with all the utensils etc u cud need for home cooking , which we , our family and friends do all the time. Yes, the pool involves access thru the basement into the garden , and as the building is primarily fulltime residents , there are rules in place, it means everything is very well run and maintained. We are glad you enjoyed your holiday and found the location so accessible.

“Superb apartment, superb location!”

I Just recently spent 3 nights at this super apartment, and highly recommend it. The location is perfect.Three beautiful beaches are on the doorstep. The idyllic town is a five minute walk away, and a pleasant stroll will take you to the neighbouring resort of Juan les Pins in 15 minutes. The apartment is very spacious with a particularly large sunny balcony, which has two very comfortable seating areas at either end and a large dining area to ensure great comfort whilst relaxing or dining alfresco.The decor is very tasteful and the whole apartment is in pristine condition. I have to mention the exceptionally comfortable beds and the excellent quality of the bed linen, and other items such as kitchenware etc. Gorgeous bakery a few minutes away, great variety of restaurants and shops nearby, excellent wifi connection, T.V. etc. Everything we needed for a perfect mini break. I will definitely be back but for longer next time!
