Description

Casa Amaro Mar is nicely furnished, comfortable and has everything you need for your self-catering villa holiday. The bright lounge is a place where you can relax after a day in the sunshine and meals can be taken in the adjoining dining area, or Al-Fresco by the swimming pool, where you have a covered built in barbecue. Also by the pool is an outdoor shower, sun loungers and parasol.

The kitchen is fully equipped including the all essential dishwasher and washing machine!

Upstairs are 2 double and 1 twin bedroom, two bathrooms, one en-suite to the Master bedroom and the other with a Jacuzzi bath.

All linen and towels are provided, including towels for the swimming pool.

For stays of more than 7 nights, cleaning and fresh linen is provided.

There is private parking at street level, but as there are steps leading to the front door, unfortunately the villa is not suitable for wheelchairs or people with walking difficulties.

The villa has free Wi-Fi.

A cot and highchair can be provided on request. Due to Health & Safety reasons you need to provide your own linen for the cot.

Arco Da Calheta is a perfect base for walking and sightseeing holidays.

Coast/Beach:

Calheta Beach and Marina are a 5 minute drive. Two golden sandy beaches for local safe swimming, a good selection of restaurants and bars and a well stocked supermarket. Boat Charters for dolphin, whale watching and coastal cruising. Deep sea fishing boats for charter for marlin fishing.

Distances:

Arco Da Calheta village centre is a 10 minute walk.

A five minute drive takes you to the beach at Calheta and the Casa Mundas Art Centre with year round exhibitions. There is also a traditional sugar cane factory, one of only two left operating on the island. You can tour the factory and sample the locally made famous poncha.

The capital Funchal can be reached by local bus or a 25 minute car journey.

There are many walks around Calheta and easy access to the plateau of Paul da Serra, with its many levada walks, makes this villa perfectly located for walking in Madeira and for enjoying a lovely holiday surrounded by the beautiful Madeira countryside.

Further Details:

Madeira is very famous for its levada walks and many are accessible from this side of the island. Surfing is also a popular sport locally in Paul Do Mar and the European Windsurfing Championships were held in Funchal in 2012.

Madeira is know as the floating garden, and for botanists there is much to admire all over the island, and several beautiful gardens to visit in Funchal.

How do damage deposits work?
