“We had a great time!” We enjoyed our stay at the lovely Main House, perfectly located in a nice surrounding. Enjoyed the sun by day, and lighted the fireplace at the evening. Very hospitality owner, and every morning there were fresh breadrolls in our kitchen.

We received a warm welcome and the property was everything we had hoped for when we booked it. Nicely furnished and equipped, and very comfortable. We had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay. The property is well equipped and finished to a high standard, with nice views over Calheta. Calheta beach is a 10-minute drive away, and seems to have its own microclimate - always very warm. This is also the location of the nearest proper supermarket. In the marina you can book whale watching and fishing trips, so there is no need to go all the way to Funchal unless you want to. Perfect getaway for all people who want to hear nothing else tha

We had 2 weeks in a perfect surrounding. Very beautiful accomodation equipped with everything you need. You hear nothing else than the wave breaking in one of the sunniest places of Madeira. Especially the area under the roof with its own patio is ideal for an older child or friend who shares the house with you. The kichen is completely arranged, so you are able to cook all you want. Other villages with restaurants or a supermarket can be reached by car within a few minutes. The owners Iva and Paul are very nice people an helpful with information, tips and other service. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The cottage is detached, set approximately 50m away from the road (no road traffic noise heard from inside the cottage). The cottage sits just below the owners' house, but with the blinds in the bedroom and living room at half mast, it remains private. The kitchen/ living room is one nice open plan area. The small fridge, cooker and microwave were good for our needs. The bedroom was spacious. The bathroom had a lovely shower. The owners were very friendly. They provided supplies of bread, cheese, milk, wine and cake on our first day in case we didn't make it to a supermarket. We had homemade liquor when we said goodbye. The cottage is a good base from which to drive to several levada walks. Access to supermarkets and the airport is good once you find the right roads. Easier than driving in Funchal! … see more
