16 Admiralty Cottage is in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park is only 20 yards from Loch Long at the edge of the village of Arrochar and has stunning views to the Loch and the Arrochar Alps beyond. 16 Admiralty is welcoming and comfortable with a multifuel burner and electric storage heating throughout. The cottage is spacious with a large comfortable lounge with ample seating for 6 and beautiful views from the large picture window. There are 3 bedrooms, bedroom 1 at the front of the property is equipped with a king size bed and an ensuite shower, bedrooms 2 and 3 are at the rear one with a double bed and the other with a single and additional pull out guest bed. The property and has gained a Customer Choice award by achieving a consistent 9.8 rating on REEVOO since first let in June 2014. We have everything you could need for your holiday to include a fully fitted dining kitchen which seats 6 and is complete with cooker, separate fridge and freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Adjacent to the kitchen is a heated utility room with a washing machine, drying and ironing facilities and a small drinks fridge. All bedding and towels are included and each bedroom is equipped with a hairdryer. All electricity for heating and lighting is included along with starter fuel for the log burner. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and condiments will be provided for your arrival. The views from the lounge and master bedroom are pretty special. The cottage is semi detached with a south facing private garden to the side. The garden overlooks the Loch and has a paved area for seating and dining and private parking for two cars.

Getting around

Arrochar is well placed for touring by car with easy access to the beautiful towns of Inverary, Tarbert and Oban to the west or Stirling, Perth and Edinburgh to the east. Glencoe, Ballachulish and on to Fort William are around 1 hour 40 minutes drive to the north. Helensburgh for the Rennie Mackintosh Hill House is only 30 minutes drive and Glasgow for museums, art galleries and superb shopping is only 45 minutes drive. Arrochar and Tarbert station is situated on the scenic West Highland Rail Line for trains North to Fort William and on to Mallaig. Or alternatively head by train to Oban and catch a ferry to the inner Hebridean islands. Arrochar and Tarbet are also on the main bus route between Glasgow and Oban, Fort William and Skye.

Interaction with guest

We like to meet our guests on arrival to explain heating and water controls etc. and answer any queries re the area which typically takes around 10 minutes. If any issues arise during their stay we are always happy to attend in person to resolve if our guests prefer. For guests arriving late in the evening we have a key safe for access

Superb accommodation with everything you could possibly need and more, coupled with a fantastic view. What more could you ask for ? We were lucky with the weather and travelled to Loch Ard Forest and did the breathtaking A82 road to Glencoe. Enjoyed every moment.

“Beautiful Location”

The location is amazing and the views of the loch are fantastic. Very peaceful and in a great place to see all the sights and just a short walk to the Village Inn. The house is so clean and very well kept, home from home, with a lot of information of what to do. Kay and James are very welcoming and helpful. We would visit again.
