In need of TLC

Left on Jun 02, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

It could have been wonderful. Great location and great garden. Also the caretaker was very helpful and friendly. The hay barn ( which is called the gallery when you get there!) is nice but could be very special. Some of the fittings like the bed ( very cheap and uncomfortable mattress) and the bathroom just needed some money spent and it could be wonderful

Nevertheless we had a great time and…

Cosy retreat for two

Left on Jun 21, 2011 for a stay in September 2010

Greeted on arrival by a warm reception from the owners, I appreciated the nice touches like fresh cut flowers in a jug on the kitchen window ledge when we arrived. Owners very helpful if you want to know anything about the area but also happy to leave you alone if you just wanted a bit of solitude.

The accomodation was clean, cosy and well equiped, a good use of space gives a compact but not …

Good inside, but not picture-book location.

Left on Jun 01, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Cottage is well equipped, nicely done out and comfortable, but the lane it's on is a bit scrappy. Does the job well, but if you like a picturesque cottage when you pull up you might be disappointed. This isn't the fault of the cottage itself, more the locale.
