Description

Keepers Cottage is a beautifully renovated former barn, situated within the peaceful village of Sheldon, near Bakewell.

Located in the heart of the White Peak, this dog friendly rural retreat provides a comfortable base, whether you’re looking to enjoy some fresh air and long country walks, conquer the highest peaks or simply to relax and unwind in a friendly village pub.

The cottage is ideally positioned for exploring the unrivalled scenery of the Peak District National Park.

The living area, contains two comfortable reclining chairs with footstools and a FreeView TV. With a traditional wood burning stove and white washed stone walls providing a cosy cottage feel, it is a relaxing space to retreat to at the end of the day, after exploring the nearby walking and cycling trails.

The beautifully fitted kitchen area includes everything you need for your stay, with a cooker/hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and good quality cutlery and kitchenware, as well as a variety of extras such as tea, coffee etc.

The bedroom has a large king size bed, adorned with soft cosy duvet and white, quality bed linen. Two bath sheets and two hand towels are provided for use during your stay. The bedroom also enjoys plenty of storage space, a FreeView TV and additional extras, such as hair straighteners and a hairdryer.

The bathroom contains a good quality, white bathroom suite with chrome taps, heated shower rail and a large walk in sports shower. Complimentary toiletries are also provided for use during your stay.

The patio outside Keepers Cottage is the perfect spot to unwind with a glass of wine, whilst watching our miniature Shetland ponies grazing and enjoying wonderful views across the peaceful, unspoilt countryside. Or take a stroll down to the local village pub and enjoy a selection of real ales and a game of pool.

With off-road parking and only a short drive away from the bustling market town of Bakewell and regal spa town of Buxton, Keepers Cottage is an ideal location for discovering the delights of the Peak District.

We welcome two well behaved dogs at Keepers Cottage and are sure that they will enjoy the fabulous walks in Sheldon and the surrounding countryside. We do ask that they are kept off the furniture and out of the bedroom.

There outdoor area is fully enclosed with fencing around the patio and parking areas and there is a gate at the entrance to the property driveway, which you are welcome to use.
