About Us

Casa da Avó has a history dating back to over 100 years. The whole state comprises the main house, where Isabel, the villa's owner, has set her residence, The Upper House (Casa de Cima), The Wooden House (Casa de Madeira) The White House (Casa Branca) and the Tree House (Casa da Árvore).

Vale da Silva Villas, where the houses are located, is set in a beautiful rural farm area 15 minutes from the city of Aveiro, known as the Venice of Portugal, where you can enjoy gondola trips through its various straits.

Aveiro offers numerous activities alongside its stunning sandy beaches such as surfing, kite surfing, sailing and fitness. It also has a great night life and shopping areas such as Forum Aveiro set above one of the main channels of the city.

The city of Aveiro is also a short drive to the wine regions of Bairrada and Douro, known worldwide for its Port wine.

Each house can accommodate from 2 to 6 people and is fully equipped, apart from the Tree House that only accommodates 2 people. All guests have access to a commune pool and stables.

The spaces are ideal for holidays and weekends.

We have created a restful retreat, so you can feel as in your home away from home whilst on holidays

Very nice, we stayed at Casa de Cima, by the pool, Isabel was very welcoming and gave us all information we needed.

How do damage deposits work?

If Isabel (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
