“Beautiful House”

Reviewed 19 Nov 2022

This house is large and beautifully furnished. Everything you could need for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. There is plenty of room for everyone and the children had lots of room to play. The enclosed garden made it safe for children and dogs. There are nice walks from the door for the dogs. Although in a housing estate, it was quiet with little traffic or human noise. The local co op is well stocked and within easy walking distance and the main shopping area is also not too far - about 15 or 20 minute walk. All in all a good time was had by all in this great family house.

“Location is great and loved that it was dog friendly.”

Reviewed 24 Sep 2021

House was perfect for our family time (that included the dog). Owner was very helpful and kept in touch prior to our arrival. We were able to negotiate earlier entry/leaving time. House was let down by a few areas that could do with being updated - Dining table chairs, badly ripped, table ridges badly needed cleaned and towel holders a bit rusty. Overall a great stay.

Response from the owner Thank you for your feedback - we always welcome knowing how to improve our house and I would like to confirm that we have replaced the dining chairs, and highlighted the cleaning of the table to our housekeeper.

“Glad to get here!”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2020

After much uncertainty about whether we'd be able to come on holiday at all it was great to get 10 days in Aviemore. The house was lovely and clean with plenty space (travelled with 3 adults, 4 children, 10, 10, 9 and 8). Having the garage to store bikes and canoe gear was excellent. The garden was big enough for the boys to play in with their ball although there's a playing field a couple of minutes walk away as well. The Co-op is handy, as is The Chippy (very good). The location is ideal, walking distance to Aviemore but lovely and quiet. Cycling on cycle paths is available right from the house, brilliant for outings with children. We had a small problem with the dishwasher but the engineer came very promptly. I'd recommend a stay in this property.

“More than enough room”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2020

I stayed here with the extended family. we had more than enough room, It has excellent Wifi. and all thats needed for day to day running. In an excellent location you can walk straight out along a path, under the railway bridge and walk for miles. the only thing i found needs addressing is the shower doors (get rid of the hugging curtains) and shower riser rails that do not stay in place. apart form that we had a lovely stay.

Response from the owner Thanks for your feedback - I totally understand about the bathrooms. These were due to be updated but we were let down by a local company. Now trying to find someone else to take on the job, trying to keep it local but as everywhere, good plumbers are like gold dust! We hope this will be completed during this year. So glad it didn’t spoil your stay. Kind regards, Shelagh

“Fabulous House and Location”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2019

Inch Keith has everything you need for a large family break apart from a tumble dryer and when it rains like it had this week it would have been handy, this however didnt spoil our stay as most of our outdoor gear is technical and dries fairly quickly but some items need ten minutes in a dryer to help with the reproofing, and I'm not a fan if socks and undies on radiators. Anyway enough of that, the house is warm and spacious for us all to spread out plenty of cooking equipment (I'm a bit sad and take an old slow cooker on these types of holidays) fridge/freezer is good family size and the utility room stays cool for pop and stuff, bedrooms are all clean and comfy with loads of storage space , loads of space in utility for storing boots, climbing ropes and gear, didnt go in the garage but I'm sure this would be great storage for bikes etc. Meg our dog loved the large garden and plenty of walks from the front door along the Speyside Way and along Aviemore Orbital . There is a local Coop on the estate which is as good as if not better than Tesco, the fish and chip shop and Pizza house on the same square are also very good, also bike hire available, recently opened Aldi and Home and Bargins just down the road, but M & S food very disappointing ok for hill snacks but dont expect to be able to put a meal together. Aviemore itself is a lovely Highland town the only down side for me is compared to the Lake District it's not very dog friendly . If you do take your dog with you and fancy a coffee I can highly recommend Tiso outdoor store next to Aldi, fabulous food and Coffee and dogs welcome, All in all another good week in the Highlands even in the rain
