Description
LA CHAPELLE DES ANTONINS (Chapelle Saint-Antoine), construite en 1290, est encore plus ancienne que le Palais des Papes. Située au plein cœur du centre historique d'Avignon, elle est un monument vivant de l'époque du Grand schisme d'Occident, mais je vous raconte sa riche histoire à votre arrivée… !
Achetée en 2014, 3 ans de travaux l'on transformée en une magnifique habitation et un lieu de culture.
Le grand volume de l'église a été divisé en plusieurs niveaux qui s’articulent autour d’un très bel escalier pour accéder au loft spectaculaire de 7 m de hauteur sous la charpente, restaurée au 17ème siècle. Pas d'ascenseur.
La partie haute de la Chapelle est constituée d’un loft magnifique avec :
- salon de 120m2, piano quart de queue accordé, bibliothèque, sonorisation, climatisation réversible, grande cuisine / salle à manger en mezzanine avec une très belle fenêtre d'Eglise, ancienne rosace. Un piano de cuisine au gaz de 90cm 5 feux, four électrique, lave-vaisselle, réfrigérateur avec congélateur, grande table carrée, 8 chaises, canapés, vaisselle pour 10 personnes.
- une chambre de Maître de 45m2 dans l'ancienne abside de l'église (demi-sphère en pierre) avec un grand lit double 180x200, dressing
- une chambre-alcôve avec 2 lits simples 80x200 (ou 1 lit 160x200 assemblé)
- 1 Salle de bain de 20m2 avec baignoire et douche en pierre de travertin, lave-linge et séche-linge, WC indépendant avec lavabo

Accès en voiture uniquement pour déposer des bagages à La Chapelle, parking public à 7 mn à pied (marché des Halles) ou 10 mn (Palais des Papes).
A noter pour les locataires du mois de juillet : pendant le festival d'Avignon (29 juin au 24 juillet 2024), le théâtre au 1er étage sera en activité.
Attention la Chapelle n'est pas accessible aux personnes handicapées, il y a des escaliers.
