Vistamar boasts a cross between rustic beauty and modern comfort with ocean and jungle views, furnished balconies and garden spaces, private bathrooms with hot water, daily cleaning service, Wi-Fi with upload speed of ~70 megabytes, a desk in the room, a well-equipped kitchen, and an attentive staff, and an awesome ocean breeze. Vistamar is located in the pueblo of Ayampe directly in front of the reserve that opens up to the beach, with less than a 2 minute walk to the sand and shops.

Getting around

There are buses that pass in either direction on the panamericana every 30 minuits. Taxi's are cheap and I am happy to call one for you. That being said, there is no need to leave Ayampe; restaurants are cheap, cold beer and coconuts are a stone's throw away; produce trucks come right to the front door. There is a free medical clinic a few blocks away as well.

Interaction with guest

I'm happy to share all local knowledge that I have; advice on the best trails through the mountain and up the river, where to find a surfboard or surf lessons, a dirt bike, co ordinate dive trips and surf trips (by boat or car), who to go fishing with, the best people to get in contact with for Spanish lessons and surf lessons, what time the buses leave, where to get cold beer and coconuts, or who to speak with if there is any information that I don't know myself. Further, ill be happy to co ordinate any adventures that you want to do, all of which can be co oridinated when you arive!
