Beautiful period Château in Normandy - just 4.5hrs from London
We're renting out our historic house in Normandy - conveniently located in an untouched rural village just off from Dieppe (ferry to Newhaven), offering a maximum of privacy.
The house was build at the turn of the 18/19th century, when emperor Napoleon visited the area. It offers a beautiful living room with large fireplace, bright breakfast room/dining room with french windows/doors opening to the terrace. In the kitchen you have the choice to cook your meals or even bake your own fresh bread by heating up our brand-new wood-burner oven - or go with the easy going alternative of a modern stove. If you do not want to cook for yourself, there is fantastic restaurant just a few minutes away. All amenities (baker, butcher, supermarket, more restaurants) can be found in Auffay, 5 minutes away, or in Dieppe (great wine & champagne section in Auchan hypermarket).
The house sleeps up to 8 in 4 separate bedrooms. We have two bathrooms, one with a shower, one with a bathtub.
We have a large terrace with evening sun, looking out over the large meadow and the rim of the forest. Its the ideal place to put up a BBQ or have some wine.
Lots of parking space in front of the house. Washing machine in basement if you want to stay longer.
Note: You will get the full house for you and your family. However, access to some of the northern rooms might be limited as some of them remain in an untouched condition - great to explore how houses where build 200 years ago, but not necessarily a room you want to spend the day in if you are not too much into this ...
Local Area:
Auffay (5 minutes drive): Several bakers, a butcher, supermarkets, market day on Friday mornings with fresh local produce, restaurants.
Beauval-en-Caux: Bakery, restaurants (5 minutes drive)
Totes: has more shops and some nice restaurants (for details best to google “Restaurants Totes 76”)
Dieppe (20 minutes drive): Auchan, Aldi, Lidl etc.

Response from the owner Quel dommage que vous avez passé un si mauvais séjour. Concernant les lits, j´ai acualisé les photos de sorte qu´on voit tous les lits qui sont à disposition. Je dois avouer aussi, que la maison était exceptionellement sale après votre séjour. Nous avons passé beaucoup plus de temps que d´habitude à nettoyer la maison, sans parler des serviettes extrèmement sales.
