Description

Rowena Cottage is a light, bright, brick, wood and flint cottage in the small North Norfolk village of Bacton, just 2 minutes walk from the sea, a great place for walking, fishing or exploring by car. The cottage is next door to our other property, Adelaide Cottage (#4497930), that can accommodate up to 4 more guests or can be booked separately.

Accommodation Details

This non-smoking, pet-friendly (add extra charge when booking) accommodation on one level consists of:-

kitchen with electric oven, fridge, microwave

bathroom with walk in shower, basin and WC

bedroom with king size bed

comfortable living room including dinning table.

Facilities Gas central heating, TV, microwave, fridge, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels.

Travel cot and highchair available on request.

Private, secure, garden to rear with patio table and chairs. Off road parking to front shared with neighbouring property, access through shared drive.

Location A perfect base for exploring the North Norfolk coast and the Norfolk Broads. From delicious crabs and the summer end-of-pier shows at Cromer to the idyllic waterways of the Norfolk Broads. Easy driving distance from Norwich, with its castle, cathedrals, museums, theatres, restaurants and fine shopping, and the interesting market towns of Holt, North Walsham and Aylsham.Within 5 minutes walk are; a Chinese restaurant, fish and chip shop, tea shop and convenience store. The nearest golf club is in Mundesley with three more at Cromer, West Runton and Sheringham

“Holiday”

Another lovely stay at this well equipped cottage. A few steps to the beach, you couldn’t ask for much more. Ideal for dogs. Local amenities close by too. The owners are always so helpful.

“Beautiful Holiday Home”

The whole place was immaculate when we arrived - lovely touches with the seaside theme decor throughout the cottage. I took my own covers for the furniture, but even that was thought about & provided for. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits & milk in the fridge was a welcome addition. Beach was literally a 2 min walk and all amenities very close by & very easily walkable. Ideal location for walking, I personally walked into Walcott one day & did the 4.5mile circular walk the next day. Would love to return.

The cottage was very clean, had everything we needed. Accepted our 2 cocker spaniels. Very homely, warm and 2 minutes walk to the beach and local shop and takeaways.

Lovely little cottage, clean and decorated nicely Had everything in it I needed for a short breakaway The beach is about 300m away from the property. Owners were very accommodating when I had to change the dates following booking. Would recommend.

Nice clean, comfy cottage nearby the sea. Had a welcome pint of milk in the fridge, plus lots of items to ensure a pleasant stay. Good for dogs, enclosed garden. Local pubs - good food. Lovely walks.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Richard (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
