Description

This impressive mountain villa is set in its own grounds and is located at the end of a quiet private road in an elevated and tranquil position overlooking Baiardo and the beautiful surrounding countryside. The property is arranged over 2 floors. On the upper floor is a generous entrance hallway with a newly installed pellet stove. This leads to the spacious open plan lounge/dining room with seating for up to eight people and a large open fire. French doors open to the terrace for alfresco dining and relaxing whilst enjoying the stunning views. There is also a separate kitchen,2 bedrooms and a large shower room. The lower level has its own access from the garden and was recently converted. This offers a large bedroom with ensuite shower room and utility room with washing machine.

To the outside of the property are terraced gardens of about 800sqm and a driveway with parking for one vehicle. Parking is also available in front of the property. The village of Baiardo is a pleasant 800m walk away.

Baiardo itself is a spectacular medieval village perched on a hilltop with 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and coastline. The village is steeped in history and atmosphere and affords holidaymakers a friendly and traditional welcome. In the summer Baiardo is renowned for its festivals and cultural events. Amenities in the village include 3 restaurants,2 bar/cafes,1 grocery shop, a butcher,a post office, a catholic church and a childrens playground. In the immediate vicinity of the village are several walking and mountain bike trails and also great cycling. The surrounding area is a haven for walkers and cyclists alike. There is also a recently built cycle path along the coast from San Remo to Imperia which follows the old railway and offers superb sea views and is very child friendly. For nature lovers the local flora and fauna and wildlife are a delight. There are also numerous mountain villages in the vicinity such as Apricale and Triora which exude history and atmosphere.

The coast is accessible is about 30 minutes drive where all the delights of the Italian Riviera can be sampled including numerous sandy beaches and lively chi resorts such as San Remo. Further afield are the resorts of Monaco(1 hour) and Nice (1hr 30mins) and the beautiful Cote d'Azur which make for perfect days trips.
