Very cute cabin, clean, well stocked and all around adorable. The only downfall I would say is the staircase to the upper floor which was dangerously narrow and had 'short' steps, good for kids to go up and down, but not the older folks. It got a little hot upstairs as well, but other than that very cute

I wanted to unplug from my job and the world for a while, and a Sweet Pine Cabin turned out to be a perfect spot! I needed a pet friendly place, and this cabin fit the bill - it has a huge fenced yard, which let my dog roam and enhanced my feeling of safety. The kitchen is more than fully furnished - I could have served the neighborhood! While the cabin offered perks like Netflix, I was never able to figure out how to access it - despite a nicely written book of instructions for the cabin. My only hiccup was checking in - love the system of a lock box, but the code sent to me turned out to be incorrect. I called the office upon arrival and they confirmed the code I had - so they sent out maintenance to assist. He gave me a different code, which worked like a charm. Friendly neighbors, nice neighborhood. Just off the main road, so quiet but easy access.

Thank you for listening to the suggestions in previous reviews! I really appreciated the kitchen curtains, new front room curtains, full size couch and Wi-Fi with Netflix. Love what you did to the place! Thank you, Katie

Checking in was easy and the guest service representative was helpful and friendly. The cabin looks great and it is very cozy. There is a convinient parking space for cars and accessible entreances. There was six of us and we were comfortable in the cabin except for bein in the kitchen. The kitchen windows have no curtains and therefore we felt a bit uncomfortable sitting there. Although it was uncomfortable we have no complaints about the kitchen being well equipted. The living room was nice and cozy but another sofa would have been nice. We were comfortable and ready to go to bed but the tree that is outside leaning on the cabin makes too much noise and it was difficult to go to sleep. There wasn't plenty of warm quilts and the ones that were there were full of animal hair. The cabin was clean and well organized and the restroom was clean and with amenities.

Excellent service from day one to the very end. Loved that it is pet friendly and had a fenced in yard. Located in a residential neighborhood which was very quiet. The cabin had every amenity you could imagine except wine glasses. Would consider visiting again. Wish that the cabin had been located in Big Bear Lake instead of Big Bear City. Really enjoyed staying at the Sweet Pine Cabin.

My boyfriend and I and our two sons just went went up to the Sweet Pine Cabin for two night 3 day trip. Needless to say it was amazing. Upon arrival it was snowing and looked like a winter wonderland. The cabin itself was perfect. Rustic and homey. Exactly what we love. The yard was big and had so much snow, the snowball fights and snowmen & women were endless. We wanted to buy the place. It was perfect for our family. Not once were we cold and the fire place was amazing. My boyfriend is a chef and loved, loved, loved the kitchen. It had everything he needed to cook an delicious prime rib meal. I would have to agree on a slightly bigger couch but we loved everything about it. We must have picked the perfect weekend because it snowed the whole time. We loved the upstairs for the boys for privacy. All in all it was the the perfect place for a family vacation filled with unforgettable memories. We will be back. Thank you sooo much

This is a cozy, knotty pine cabin with lots of charm. The yard is large, well treed and fenced; however, it is only one house away from Big Bear Blvd. The large downstairs bedroom has a comfortable bed and several windows. The loft has 2 small bedrooms; the stairs are very steep. The bathroom has a very small shower stall (can't bend over, no tub), but the water pressure is excellent. The kitchen is well stocked, easy to cook in. It has a bump out windowed dining nook that makes it feel large, and allows for family to be in the kitchen but not in the way. There is a microwave on the back porch. This is a very homey cabin, with lots of books and personal touches. We love staying here, because of the value and the yard; however, I do have some suggestions for improvement. The couch is very small, more like a love seat, and there is an oversized chair, which makes it difficult for even 2 people to be comfortable. There is a large dining table and several chairs to sit in; however, I would suggest a larger couch or sectional arrangement to accomodate more people, comfortably. The curtains/drapes are very dusty and should be cleaned. The TV is small, not that I care but my husband does. I would like some curtains in the breakfast nook, like in the hallway, to provide more privacy in the kitchen at night and early morning. I have been renting cabins in Big Bear for years now, and this one is charming and has a good feel to it. It gets better every time we stay here.
