“Beautiful House with awesome View” My friends and I stayed here in late april/early May. The weather was perfect and we easily took the train to Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Rome from here. The house itself is beautiful and fully stocked. No need to pack extras, there were umbrellas, travel books, and even a ceramic flat iron to calm my frizzy hair. The balcony is a great spot to relax and enjoy the view after a long day of sight seeing. There is a quaint Italian restaurant a short walk away with great food. You can eat there or take it back to the house. Just a short taxi or bus ride takes you to the train station where you can travel to any other Italian cities.

“A magical place” This was my first visit to Corsica, and, because of the house and the village, I can't wait to come back! Yes, the beaches are fantastic - and it's a short trip down the mountain - but the "real" Corsica to me is Sant antonino and the beautiful house overlooking the world. On one side of the house is the terrace with views to both mountains and sea; on the other is the cobbled street through the charming village. There are many wonderful restaurants in the village, and a photo opportunity at every corner. What can I say about the perfection of the house? I had a magnificent bedroom with a bath, sitting room and private terrace - a Nespresso machine and electric kettle were set up, as they were for the other suites. I think 10 people could stay here in complete privacy, gathering by the pool or terrace. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is a washer and dryer. The furnishings are exquisite including antiques and original art work, but still the house is cozy and quite comfortable. I am an american, from Sun Valley, Idaho, which I considerable one of the most beautiful places to live, but after my week at the de Mareuil home, I can't wait to return to Sant antonino. I have a ski chalet I rent myself in Sun Valley, so I am aware of the levels of amenities one finds with rentals - everything has been thought of here.

“Dream location,beautiful home and surroundings, nice people” We cannot sing high enough praise for our accommodations there. I was particularly struck by the well-appointed interiors and grounds at Fuentes. The views are absolutely spectacular (to witness: we have hundreds of photos!), including the lovely infinity swimming pool, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Given the opportunity, we would return in a flash!!! (ps - dealing with the owners was easy and very pleasant).

“A summer to remember” My "wow" test for a holiday is how long after I have returned home do the memories last. When doing the math, 4 years have past - I can't believe it. I can still recall times playing in the pool, trips to the bakery for fresh bread in the morning, great meals both at home and in the countryside and ending the day by the pool at night with a glass of wine or two or... We still talk about our summer in France and can't wait to get back again.

“Great stay in Tuscany” Nora and Fabrizio were wonderful hosts. Their house is beautiful and spacious. It is very clean and comfortable. We stayed two nights and had wonderful conversations with the hosts and other guests. They had guests from Russia, Germany, India, France, and Italy while we were there. We had a wonderful time. It is a great place to go to Florence, Pisa, or Volterre. Did I mention they have a beautiful deck with killer views of Tuscany? We highly endorse the Special - Scenic Tuscany Room.

“A delightful house, village and scenic district” The house: Cal Porxo is as lovely as the photographs! When renovated, it was with such wonderful taste - so much so that we all were delighted - including our teenage boys. Ground floor is little more than a large porch with stairs to the first floor (kitchen, living room, single bedroom and shower/toilet/sink room). The next floor has the 2 double bedrooms with a shared shower/toilet/sink room. The next floor up is the terrace (through a low door) with lovely views over the pan-tiled roofs of the surrounding homes and the church tower. It was very pleasant to read up there or play cards etc. The kitchen is very well stocked - with a big fridge/freezer, toaster, cooker/hob and enough crockery to be able to fill the dishwasher! (There is also a clothes washer tucked away upstairs). We were concerned that the house would be too hot – not having air-con. The weather when we were there wasn’t exceedingly hot (for August) but we were still surprised how cool the house was. It must be the stone construction. The owner Jesus suggested that we closed the windows by day to keep the cool in and open the windows by night to let the cool in. This seemed to work. The Village: The village is truly beautiful. Medieval narrow streets and tall multi-floored narrow homes! It is all beautifully kept (in a rustic style) and around each corner you come to a view over the valley and the impressive mountains and cliffs. There is a wonderful playground for younger kids with swings and slides, and a table tennis table – which we all played on (and Jesus provided bats and balls). There are even hammocks to relax in. The municipal pool is lovely and new and a bit like an infinity pool as you look out on the stunning scenery. We found everyone in the village were friendly and greeted you as you passed. My boys made friends with some of the village boys and played polo in the pool and table tennis with them – the grand football game didn’t quite get organised! We did think that it might be so quiet and dead that it there would be no soul to the place – far from it. There were always people around sitting outside their homes chatting. And as for quiet – well their kids don’t go to bed until at least midnight and can be heard calling and shouting – and of course – are heard through all the open windows! It’s not only the kids but the church clock not only counts the hours, but the quarter hours too – and if that is not enough the clock (after a pause) counts the hours a second time! And yes it is all through the night!! (With open windows!!). We just thought it was part of charm of the ‘real’ village that Pradell de la Teixeta is. The District: It is so different to the coast here. Lots of rugged scenery. Lots of interesting car drives. We only wished we had more time to explore. Owner: Jesus Garcia is a lovely warm genuine guy. We managed to break something and he was very very accommodating. We felt he was someone you could trust.

“Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful part of France.” This accommodation in Olonzac is perfectly situated for exploring the beautiful region of Languedoc. Whether we headed north, south, east or west, there was so much to see that our four weeks stay was not nearly enough! Lucy (our landlady) could not have been more helpful, from the time of booking to the day of leaving. The accommodation was particularly delightful and a pleasure to return to after a day's exploring. We left when the grapes were tiny and green, but would love to be there at harvest time!

“Superb!” Two families had a wonderful holiday, couldn't ask for more. Plenty inside and out - games for outside, Xbox etc inside for the kids. Loved the pool and the private gardens, Enjoyed the space inside the house and the facilities, noone got on top of each other. Lots to do and see around the area! Furnished to a high standard, satellite TV, wonderful terrace and views. Highly Recommended.

“A most enjoyable, relaxing holiday” Following a really warm welcome from Isabelle and Thiery we enjoyed our holiday in their accommodation. The house was very welcoming with everything we needed to relax. There was plenty of space both inside and outside to loose yourself in the peace and tranquility of the house. The farm animals were great neighbours and frequently shared our conversations! The farmhouse was in an excellent position, close enough to the nearest town, Eymet, to get provisions, eat out and generally watch life go by, but also far enough away to realise that we were holidaying in the countryside. Everything was in easy reach, including the airport at Bergerac for flights to the UK. The part of the holiday we remember most of all was the great feeling of relaxation we found staying with Isabelle and Thiery. They are very warm people and we look forward to visiting them again very soon.

“Real French accomodation in a lovely French village” Me, my husband and two kids with the age of fifteen and twelve years old spent a splendid holiday in this lovely house. Really nice decorated and all comfort things are present (beds, sofas, fridge, stove, large dining table, washingmachine, bbq etc,). We found the silence really remarkable (and pleasant). We loved the location of the house and the nearest bigger village St. Chinian.
