“Prague House, Lettermore” This cottage was beautifully presented and exceptionally well-equipped. The welcome from the owners was first-rate and we felt very at home here. Lettermore is in beautiful Connemara and the only thing we found disappointing was the distance we needed to cover to find eating places and places of interest - this should have been clearer from the cottage brochure.

“A beautiful cottage for an nice week in Connemara” This was really a very nice week in a beautiful, very well-furnished and welcoming cottage. The location was ideal to discover the Connemara region: the lakes for fishing, the walks in marvelous places, the diamond hill and the twelve bens, the fjord and the wild coast. The cottage is in a quiet place: if you wake up early, you could see the deers in the garden!!!

ROSMUC COTTAGE, pet friendly, character holiday cottage, with a garden in
Cosy getaway but remote

Lovely cottage bit south of Connemara proper, just a bit too far from galway. Great place to snuggle up with a book in front of the fire. Lovely owner, kitted out well. Dogs had a great time and we relaxed:) … see more
2A GLYNSK HOUSE, open fire, country location, ideal touring base near Carna Ref
Nice house in picturesque area

We arrived at the house well before dark and were promptly greeted by Anne Keane, the property manager. She was very friendly and helpful. She told us not to worry at all about our checkout time three days away, because she had no one else scheduled, which was very accommodating. The house is large and airy with beautiful knotty pine doors and woodwork. The workmanship of the trim and bathroom tilework was noticeably above average. We found all rooms clean and quite comfortable. There was a generous supply of peat to burn in the fireplace and knock the chill off. The only two negative things about the house itself were minor. First, the dryer was upstairs and the washer down. Not a huge problem, but an inconvenience nonetheless. Also, the washer door was tricky to unlatch. Anne showed us how to do it with a butter knife, but we were afraid we could break the latch each time we used the knife to open the door. The location of Carna is beautiful, wild, and remote. There is a wonderful gift shop/restaurant called The Glynsk House a stone's throw from the guest house. We purchased gifts from the shop, as well as ate lunch at the restaurant, which serves delicious food. The parking lot was usually quite crowded. The only detracting thing about our 3-night experience at 2a Glynsk House was it's remote location. It was over an hour's drive to Galway which we visited twice. However, the countryside is breathtaking through the wild and wonderful Connemara region. It might be advisable to take some time to pre-plan your days in order to limit your time driving to and from the far-flung tourist destinations in the region.see more
SPIDDAL THATCH COTTAGE, pet-friendly, multi-fuel stove, traditional cottage
A charming hideaway

Spiddal thatch cottage is a small but utterly charming old pre-famine cottage that has been beautifully and comfortably restored by the owners Steve and Mary, who are very welcoming and helpful. It has a spiral staircase to the first floor which could be difficult for young children and the elderly or infirm to negotiate. The location is very pretty, set amongst fields with numerous green lanes to explore, which are flanked by tumble-down dry stone walls, abundant with wild flowers. There is a fascinating deserted village nearby and a quiet stony beach 30 minutes walk away. A good base to explore Galway and the surrounding area.see more

Relaxing, Home from Home in Conamara...

Spent a great week in an tSean Scoil in Spetember last. The ease of booking and arranging everything with antoinette made the pre holiday planning stress free. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack of goodies and plenty of information about the area, shops, food, pubs, sites, walks etc. The house is beautifully furnished and very well presented with everything you could possibly need. The house is well designed and spacious. There are lovely views over the Owenglin river from the kitchen. The patio area to the rear is perfect for barbeques and dining al fresco - weather permitting! The sitting room is a lovely relaxing room, for reading, listening to music, tv watching. This house is a great location/base for holidaying in Conamara with great pubs, restaurants and walks on your door step. I would recommend this house as a base for anyone looking to spend time in the area.see more

Exceptional high quality hideaway

This property had everything, all mod cons, decorated to a high standard and breathtaking views. Staff were also very helpful and only a phone call away if needed. Would be 5 stars except you have to pay for WiFi and the cost of it was ridiculously high, this was down to the provider but considering it was almost impossible to get mobile coverage in the area it would have been nice to have some contact with the outside world. Perhaps in the future €50 of Internet access could be included in the cost of rental and customers can add more if needed.see more
Spiddal Cottage
Perfect place for a relaxing break

The cottage had everything we needed. The owner, Patsy, was on hand if we wanted anything, but let us get on with enjoying our break. Spiddal was lovely with a craft village celebrating traditional skills - we found some beautiful gifts (I'm keeping most of them myself!). The cottage was a short walk from the beach which was a fantastic place whatever the weather. We had some wonderful walks with the dog. The drive into Galway was easy and we enjoyed the contrast with the tranquility of Spiddal. We would definitely go back. see more
