“Superb cottage.” Such a lovely cottage, well fitted out with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The view from the lounge and patio is beautiful over to Mam Tor and the surrounding area of the dark peak district and the walled garden is very private.

“A comfortable base for exploring south wales and The Gower” A very clean, very well equipped cottage affording a restful ambience yet being not too far to reach the South Wales and The Gower attractions. A thank you to the Sykes agent who told us about the possibility of road traffic noise but we did not find this an actual problem during our stay. Yet another successful holiday experience for us thanks to the good information and ease of finding out about Sykes cottages and the on-line ease of securing the holiday.

“Fabulous would recommend” Lovely clean cottage centrally based for all outings and good take aways near by. Very warm welcome , everything you need when you stay away.

“Fantastic location for walking if you are fit and able” Relatively small cottage. Some good features some average. Great view of Dale from rear Garden / patio. Helpful neighbours. Very hilly - not suitable for older visitor or with young children in my view. No car access. Dog friendly location. Excellent pub up the hill

“Peace and solitude” Perfectly equipped and proportioned holiday let for two people. Tucked away in the middle of the Shropshire countryside it feels remote and isolated, but is only a short drive from a couple of villages with a choice of decent pubs nearby. Well placed for access to the Long Mynd, Stiperstones, and Wenlock Edge, it makes a good base for a walking holiday. If you are looking for some quiet down-time then this is the place to stay, but be prepared to wash your car at the end of the week - the local lanes get very muddy from the farm traffic!

“Peace and tranquility in Llanbedr” This was our second stay at Ty Cerrig and on both occasions booking the cottage was simple and straightforward, made easier by friendly staff. Ty Cerrig is ideal for our needs although the large settee in the lounge is getting a bit tired,the rest of the cottage is well appointed. The log-burning stove was most welcome at nights. The enclosed garden is ideal for our dog and there are plenty of local walks for his exercise. We know the area very well, there are take-aways in Harlech and the local pub has a good extensive menu. I think the most important factor for me is the peace and quiet the location offers, surrounded by fabulous countryside

“A pleasant week in Dorset” Ryecross was a clean well;appointed and comfortable cottage with avery pleasant outlook over the Blackmoor Vale. We enjoyed our very much in the local area and beyond to the coast. It helped to have good weather, but the cottage was of such a standard that if we had to stay in all day it would have been equally enjoyable. The only minor complaint was the lack of a large frying pan. Instructions for the microwave would have been helpful.

“Beautiful Cottage and setting” Kath's Cottage is an immaculately kept property in the centre of Heacham, a lovely quiet village just south of Hunstanton in Norfolk. It has easy access to everything you'd need for a stay in the area. The owners are friendly and co-operative. I cannot fault the cottage and thoroughly recommend it.

“A nice peaceful location.” Lovely place,beautifully furnished right by the river.Very attractive bed linen but rather uncomfortable mattresses.Nice big fitted kitchen & lounge.There were six adults plus a seven year old & a baby.Lots of space for all of us plus parking for three cars.Loved all of it except the mattresses.

“A very enjoyable week” We arrived to find a beautiful well decorated cottage with nice gardens front and back. The cottage was very spacious, very well fitted out with everything you would need to make the stay comfortable. We was welcomed with a supply of tea, coffee, sugar and bread and a nice bottle of wine. The bed linen and towels were of good quality and clean. We were located very near the railway station so if we didn't want to drive we could still get out and about. The only bad thing we could say is the private road we had to drive up to get access to the cottage was not maintained and unfortunatley the weeks before our holiday the weather was terrible and the road was full of big pot holes full of dirty rainwater. The week we were there the weather was very good and we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to our friends and family.

“It was very peaceful and relaxing” The service was very good the home was very clean with the added bonus of ensuite bedrooms. The plasma screen tv was brilliant as was the game console. The local pub was really good and the food was excellent! Beautiful scenery and lovely walks. Enjoyed the quietness and the welcoming pack. There was nothing to dislike.

“Very peacefuland relaxing.” I believe we were in Wards Court 1. We were in Wards Court 2 earlier in the year because some of the family came to stay for a short while. That must tell you how much we liked the place to back again. The home is very well equiped and very comfortable. With a restaurant on the ground floor run by the owner with excellent food and a pub 2 doors away - need I say more! It was agreat base for walking - our passion. Mrs Phillips, the owner, is a gem, very kind and attentive. There was nothing to dislike about the holiday. In fact we shall probably go back again next year.

“I'd do it again” The flat was perfect for my needs, quiet but not isolated. The village is interesting with lovely walks and close to excellent birdwatching, yet close to city facilities.

“Pet friendly and peaceful.” A delightful, cosy cottage ideal for a peaceful break. Our dogs were made to feel very welcome. Situated on a farm, there were lots of places to walk and a very good pub serving excellent food was within walking distance. The addition of coal and other fire making materials made the cottage warm and cosy once the night set in. The Dales are only a short drive away along with quaint market towns that have quirky shops and lots of cafes.

“Peaceful country escape” Friendly hosts, great hospitality, good fire & plenty of logs. Great surroundings and loved the peace & quiet. Cream tea on arrival a very nice touch. Good value for money - will definitely come back!

“Y Bwthyn. What a place to stay” We had a little difficulty finding it, but that was our fault as we didn't see the sign on the gate. It is a wonderful place slap bang in the middle of the countryside as far away from anything that you could wish for if that is what you want. We found Y Bwthyn to be well appointed and very comfortable and it was within easy reach of many good walks including the lake Ogwen area

“Brilliant” This cottage had everything we needed. The owners even catered for the dogs. It was in a great location with lots of walks. Would definitely visit again.

“Peaceful, restful holiday in a stunning setting” Spent a very happy week in Meadow Lea at the beginning of april. Clean, quiet, very well equipped and a delicious cake of arrival. Stunning views across the valley to the River Lugg. Good, efficient central heating and plenty of parking.
