“Very comfortable apartment” We had a great stay at Lochend Park View apartment in Sept 2013 for 3 nights. The service from Slawomir was very good-he was very friendly and extremely helpful. The apartment was very well equipped and overlooks a park which was great for the kids. The bus stop is not too far from the apartment and you are in the centre of Edinburgh in minutes. We would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay here again if we returned to Edinburgh.

“Super location!!” My husband, daughter and I had a fantastic break in this accommodation in Edinburgh. The apartment itself was clean, had everything you needed and also included parking. This was a must when deciding on accommodation. We had chosen road travel to explore some of the countryside on our way up to Scotland. Whilst in Edinburgh, we walked to most places with shopping, restaurants and cultural sites within easy reach. I would definitely recommend this property to everyone.

“Extraordinary accommodation!” "Edinburgh Self Catering wants to deliver extraordinary accommodation for people visiting Edinburgh" - well they certainly do with this property! The apartment has everything in it you could possibly need for a short break (or longer). It evens has the 86 (?) steps up to it in keeping with the rest of Edinburgh which certainly helps walk off the haggis! Location is spot on with the hourly free rants from the ghost tours making you really feel in the heart of things. Top drawer! Would definitely recommend.

“Location Location Location and more” My family and I stayed here for four nights in the end of May. We were welcomed by Dave to the property who was waiting for us as we were running late. Dave was very friendly and he briefed us about the apartment . The apartment itself is a few steps away from Grassmarket and a flight of stairs away from the Edinburgh Castle. The location is perfect and so is the apartment. all the amenities were working and the apartment is tastefully furnished. The location is so good that we never took a bus or taxi in the four days we were here. There is this restaurant adjoining the apartment called Made in Italy which serves mouth watering Pizzas and Pastas. Would definitely stay here again

“Very well located cozy flat” We had a pleasant experience at 37 Thistle St. It´s really close to the shops in George St and Princess St with a Post Office, food Market and restaurants around the block.Had great food on Thistle St itself a few steps away. Try Cafe Marlayne´s and Iris. Apart from the two flights of stairs, which are not too bad, the bedding and towels are on a par with 5 star hotel and everything in the kitchen was perfect. Make sure you ask Dave during his welcome briefing to explain how to put up or down the heating as a cold front came through and we were a bit cold. When we left I forgot my passport in the flat and only realized half way to the airport.Panic. As we leave the keys inside upon departure, called Dave and he was fantastic, got there asap and we made our flight. Recommend this flat and would go again.

“Experiencing both the historical and the young spirit of Edinbur” Booking the apartment was well organized, check-in was easy and the host was very friendly and helpful. The home was beautiful and, suitable for two wanting to have separate bedrooms (although the sofa bed was not as good as promised). The kitchen had everything, even more. A minor disappointment was, that the two TVs were not working because of antenna problems - to see at least the weather forecast would have been useful in Edinburgh. The location was perfect for us, wanting to explore the history of Edinburgh and, to experience the city like a local, spending money in the record shops and relaxing in the pubs. The drawback of the local pubs, right under the apartment, was loud noise which disturbed the night´s sleep until 3-4 am. After all, we had a wonderful stay in Edinburgh.

“Great location - close to everything” A fabulous flat, with everything we needed including the WiFi (my son's greatest need!) The perfect location for sightseeing - everything is on the doorstep. Large rooms, comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen for when we did chose to eat at home rather than the local restaurants. Great views from the bedroom windows.

“Location location location!” I am not the type to usually write reviews, but on returning from a special Mother's Day weekend at this apartment I need to make an exception. Not only is the location better than any of Edinburgh's top hotels, the quality of the decor, size and amenities provided are superb. Think old glamour, high ceilings, enormous comfy beds and original shutters to help you get a great night's sleep whilst still being in the thick if it on The Royal Mile. Lots of great bars and restaurants literally on the doorstep, or all the comforts of home if you fancy a night in. We have had a fabulous weekend - I couldn't recommend this apartment enough if you want to visit Edinburgh.

“Nice apartment close to both city centre and beautiful nature” The apartment was nice and clean with all facilities you may need. It's very comfortable (if you don't mind climbing stairs). Most tourist attractions are not far away and the apartment is very close to both nice walks in beautiful mountain landscape and low price food stores. The host was very helpful when we arrived, and it was possible to reach him with further questions during the stay.

“Clean and spacious apartment, close to everything” Our host greeted us after hours off site which is understandable. The apartment is big, well equipped and very clean. There's no provided street parking, although it shouldn't be a problem finding a space at the metered spots. Free after 6pm but must move the car before 8:30am otherwise it's 2 pounds per hour. In Edinburgh you really don't need a car, with the location the apartment is at you can walk to all the major attractions including the Castle and the surrounding areas. If you're a golfer there's a beautiful golf course just 10 minutes (by car). If I were to come to Edinburgh I would definitely stay there again. The location is unrivaled and the place is cosy and clean.

“Really nice stay in Edinburgh” My friends and I stayed a week at the flat on New Year's Eve. We choose this location because it was central, we were not disappointed: 5-10min walk to Princes Street and Waverley station (citylink stop). 15min walk to go on top of Calton Hill and enjoy the view. Shops and pubs nearby. The flat was really well fournished (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, towels, soap... all you need for a serenely stay) We also enjoyed the great street party. The hogmanay fireworks was really good as well. If you like dancing don't hesitate for a Ceilidh experience. The teannaich band were awesome! Enjoy a stay in Edinburgh in a really nice place. Good value!

“Fabulous Getaway” We absolutely loved staying at 20 Hawthorne Bank Lane. It was everything we hoped for and more. We loved sitting in the window area that jutted out overlooking the river. We had coffee and breakfast there every morning. We loved having a full size kitchen to prepare meals and snacks. We had 3 nice bathrooms which was excellent. The beds were extremely comfortable also. The location was fabulous for us. We stayed during the festival time in august which was quite noisy in the town. But, the townhouse was in a quiet area and was within walking distance of the bus stop. We walked almost everywhere we went. The townhouse is close to restaurants and shops. It was just the perfect place for our family. We were traveling with a 17 year old and 19 year old. They loved our townhouse as well. I would highly recommend this towh house.
