“Genuine Croatian Hospitality” On arriving at Hvar, we were met on the Riva and driven up to our apartment by Teo, Marija's brother. Our apartment was spotlessly clean, with a fully equipped kitchen, large bedroom and bathroom, and double decks. A very warm welcome and some beautiful marmalade were waiting on the kitchen table. The apartment is situated within walking distance to the beautiful historic town of Hvar, where we enjoyed many hours of exploring, and eating in many of the local restaurants and cafes. The famous Hula Hula bar was just down the hill from our apartment, or for those who wished somewhere a little quieter; a short stroll along the promenade to the Falco Bar, where we watched the sun set... paradise. Marija, your marmalade was fabulous, and yes, we did think of you while eating it in Igrane. Teo, many thanks for driving us up to the fortress on that very hot day; it was a panoramic view not to be missed. We would highly recommend Ela Majija's apartments to any one traveling to Hvar.

“Fantastic accomodation, Highly Recommended!” We stayed at the apartment Gorjana on the 8th June for one week and we had a fantastic time. The facilities were amazing! very clean, spacious and the view is the best on the island! There was 4 of us staying in the top apartment and it was huge and we had plenty of room. It could have easily accomodated a larger group of people. Hvar island is a beautiful place with lots to do but also can be very quiet and relaxing. The apartment is close to hvar town and there are shops and ameneties very close by. Nada and her partner were extremely friendly and helpful and we would love to come back and stay again

“A Marvelous Spring Break” We spent a long week-end at the Heart of Hvar at the beginning of May and had a brilliant time. The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable and the Internet connection worked a treat. Great location. We will definitely be back.

“A Good Place to Stay with Good People” Doesn't have a sea view but the location is great. Superb Location 2-3 minutes walk from the center of town. Good accomodations for the budget minded traveler(s). The family that owns the apartments are good people. Only small thing is to take quick hot showers and wish they had more towels. The only reason why I gave service 4 stars is because their family member just pasted and was preoccupied with the funeral and wake planning.

“A wonderful holiday!” I stayed at the house Gorjana with 3 friends the last week in June, and we absolutely loved it! What we enjoyed the most was the big terrasse with the fantastic view!! It is very beautiful. The apartment was spacious, and had everyting we needed. It is less than a 10 min walk to the beaches, and no more than 15 min to Hvar center. Just perfect! Nada and antun were very helpful, and also made a wonderful dinner reservation for us when we celebrated our friends birthday. We had a great week, and we are already looking forward to go back :-)

“A little bit of paradise!” We stayed in Hvar Mood House with 2 other couples in September 2012. The owner Slavko was there to meet us and showed us around the apartment. This apartment is absolutely fabulous. It has spectacular views from the balcony and the apartment itself is spacious and airy and has all the mod cons you could ask for. It is also spotlessly clean. All six of us absolutely loved it. If you turn left from the apartment there is a supermarket about 100 metres away which sells everything you would need. If you turn right it is only a ten minute walk to the centre of the town with all the bars and restaurants you could ask for. You are also only about 2 minutes walk from the beach where you can swim in unbelievably clear water - there are 2 beach bars nearby, the lively in the evening Hula Hula Bar or the somewhat more sedate Falko Beach Bar. The views from the balcony, especially at sunset are spectacular and is the perfect location to sit and watch all the various craft from passenger liners and luxury yachts to small motor-boats making their way to and from the harbour. Each evening, we sat out taking in the view of the Pakleni Island and enjoyed a drink before heading down to the town for our dinner. The town of Hvar is picture postcard beautiful and everyone we encountered was friendly and spoke perfect English. Recommend climbing up to the fort for fantastic views over the harbour. Slavko the owner of the apartment is very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. even bringing all our luggage down to the harbour when we were getting the ferry back to Split. He also gave us good recommendations for restaurants. All in all, a fabulous place to stay in Hvar which we would heartily recommend.
