A-Frame #11 | Hocking Hills

Logan house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“EZ Getaway” So busy that it is hard to find time to write a review. But this place is worth taking the time to write about for others. Completely satisfied and impressed with the assistance and help offered even before we arrived - regarding pets, wood, etc. The place was immaculate, quiet, convenient. Loved the journal kept by previous occupants (very helpful), loved the convenience to Hocking Hills trails and Inn @ Cedar Falls. While you are among others (chalet was closer to others than I thought), privacy is not sacrificed. Well worth the time and money. We will return.

A-Frame #1 | Hocking Hills

Logan house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Awesome Cabin!” My boyfriend and I have stayed in a-frame #1 two years in a row now and we are about to reserve it for a coulpe more nights in March this year. I would recommend any Old Man's Cave Chalet to anyone. The staff is always extremely nice and helpful and the cabins are very clean. We love a-frame #1 because it sits at the top of the hill and it is very private.

Blackjack | Hocking Hills

Logan log cabin

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Great Week with the Family” My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Old Man's Cave Chalets. Even though our children are older (18 and 21), we thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Blackjack cabin and the surrounding beautiful Hocking Hills area. We were able to use both the pool, as well as the hot tub every day.

Logan house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Nice, clean, good value for two couples” Wife & I stayed one night with another couple. The ladies liked it a lot. Tired from hiking all day so no grave concerns about privacy, which may be an issue for some - but not an issue as regards neighboring a-frames. The upstairs bedroom is open and situated above the downstairs bedroom. 1 bath shared by all. Nice "living room" with fireplace and well-equipped kitchen (corkscrew, stemware, etc.). Used Hot tub / jacuzzi and it was fine.

Fallswood Lodge | Hocking Hills

Logan lodge

5 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms / sleeps 22

“The Martin Family Getaway During Spring Break, Lincolnway School” The 7 members of the Martin family picked just the right week and the right lodge to stay in during Spring Break 2010. The lodge was great, offering us everything we needed to "rough it" in the hills of Hocking County. The grandchildren lived like royalty with all the bedrooms (nobody had to share), the big TV, the 2 fridges, and the hot tub. The weather was like summer, so, of course, they wanted to know why the pool wasn't open. They all voted that we make a second trip this year to stay in an Old Man's Cave Lodge. And, the fact that Wal-Mart was only minutes away helped. Happy kids make for happy adults. Thanks, everyone.

“Quiet night in the falls” The cabin was great!! Everything on the website was helpful (i.e. things to bring) and cabin was clean when we arrived. The hot tub was hot and so relaxing! The cabin has a beautiful view out back and the sound of trickling water was heard all evening outside. I am looking forward to our next visit! =)

Cabin and Private Indoor Basketball Gym, Hocking Hills

Logan house

“Amazing” It was perfect for my small family. My husband and kids played basketball 24/7. The owners really had a lot of personal touches and made the stay stress free. We enjoyed the cabin, hot tub, pond, canoe, gazebo, privacy!! I also appreciate the communication!! They made sure we received codes, where concerned when rain was forecast, willing to help with any detail. Already planning next trip!! Thank you for a great weekend!!

Hemlock | Hocking Hills

Logan log cabin

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“A great family reunion” I rented both the Hemlock and the Blackjack thinking we could go back and forth easily between the two chalets but found out that there is quite a hill to climb to get from the Blackjack to the Hemlock. Accomodations were good. Chalets were very clean. Close to the pool, important with the teenagers in the two families. Old Man's Cave Chalets are centrally located to many of the activities in the area and yet very private.

“Very nice cabin with great view” We had a great time at this beautiful, very well maitained cabin. It was very clean and had all the amenities of home, including flat screen tv. Great view and being able to take the dog with us was a plus! All the hiking wore the dog out. This was our second time staying with Old Man's Cave Chalet's and we weren't dissapointed.

Pine Cone | Hocking Hills

“Enjoyed it a lot” Great place. Our only complaints were that the plates and cooking equipment left a lot to be desired. Other than those minor inconveniences (easily remedied!) it was an outstanding experience. We'd stay with OMCC and at the Pinecone again in a heartbeat!!!

The Settler | Hocking Hills

Logan log cabin

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Relaxation” We enjoyed our stay at the Settler. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the deer over the hill in front of the cabin. The hot tub was great and the log style of the cabin and the size of the home made the stay very enjoyable. The cabin was clean and very inviting when we arrived. Cannot think of anything we liked least. The only minor problem was the sink in the bathroom was slow to drain, but that was it.

Alpine | Hocking Hills

Logan log cabin

“IT WAS A GREAT SPRING BREAK” WE WERE ABSOLUTELY PLEASED WITH OUR STAY AT ALPINE CABIN FOR 3 NIGHTS OVER MY DAUGHTER'S SPRING BREAK. THE CABIN WAS VERY CLEAN AND SPACIOUS. OUR TWO DOGS FELT VERY AT HOME. THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT AND VERY HELPFUL. THE CLOSE PROXIMITY TO OLD MAN'S CAVE, CEDAR FALLS, AND ROCK HOUSE WAS PERFECT. WE ARE ALREADY PLANNING OUR NEXT TRIP IN THE FALL. WE WOULD BRING FRIENDS AND/OR FAMILY AND STAY AT OLD MAN'S CAVE CHALETS AGAIN.

“Great Honeymoon” We stayed in the Laurelwood for our honeymoon. Even though the weather was cool and rainy the entire time, we absolutely loved Hocking Hills! Our cabin was beautiful, cozy, and extremely clean. We took full advantage of the hot tub on the deck which was welcome after a day of hiking in the rain. The staff were wonderful and helpful. We will definitely return!

A-Frame #5 | Hocking Hills

Logan house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“A-Frame #5” It was a nice cozy little place that was actually a bit bigger and roomier than it appeared in pictures. The place was clean, comfortable, and located perfectly. This cabin was located by itself and the other side of the road as the other a-frame's on the street to give it a little added privacy. The staff in the rental office was extremely helpful and friendly. I've got no complaints. We talked about coming back during the winter time... I'd recommend to anyone.

A-Frame #16 | Hocking Hills

Logan house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Amazing Weekend Getaway” We chose Omcc because they had pet friendly cabins and I had a $60 off coupon from the Entertainment Book. After setting foot into our cabin I was so happy we chose Omcc. The cabin was spotless! It was so clean and well maintained! That immediately put my mind at ease and I knew it'd be a good trip. We loved the hot tub and secluded back deck. At first, we were put off by how close the cabins are to each other, but it really didn't effect our trip at all. It felt very private. We loved the sky lights on the deck and in the cabin. Our pets felt very comfortable too. They loved the cozy first floor. We used the fire place both nights to heat things up. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the bathroom had enough of everything and thoughtful storage. I was excited to see Bath & Body Works products!! The beds had lots of available linens so we had blankets to use on the couch too. The only things I'd put on my wish list for the next trip would be a bigger flat screen TV with a better working DVD player and I wished the living room faced the fire place, but I am not sure that'd work with the space. Definitely bring extra towels to use outside by the hot tub and some scented candles really help create some homeyness! We can't wait for our next relaxing weekend getaway with the pups at Omcc! Thanks!

Eagle View Escape Hocking Hills

Logan house

4 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 10

“Beautiful” Loved the stay at Eagle View Escape - the house had all the amenities you could want. Had plenty of towels for the 5 of us - had plenty of dishes (although paper might have been better) - we brought our own portable grill so we wouldn't have to worry about cleaning the one there! The hot tub was fabulous! We had a campfire almost every night - it was just a wonderful stay at Eagle View Escape and if we plan on going to Hocking Hills again we will certainly know of a great place to stay!

A-Frame #15 | Hocking Hills

Logan house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Nice, quiet, but” Comfortable and though other a-Frames were near, the back porches were constructed to give a secluded feeling. Scenery on site was beautiful with great views and easy access to Old Man's Cave. Service was friendly and accomodating. Only 2 compliants: 1. The unit must have been vacant for several days and was warm inside and the fridge was not cool at all. We could not use the fridge to store the food we brought, we used our ice chest instead. However, the staff was very responsive and provided a new fridge, which cooled but took several hours to get coole enough for good storage. 2. For the price of the unit, one would expect a few more amenities: Daily Coffee Packets & Tea Packets, Popcorn, etc, items that are often provided at vacation rentals. Overall beautiful scenery, nice and comfortable unit, and friendly and responsive staff.

“Loved our stay at the Cumberland” The Cumberland was a great place to stay and so relaxing. It is close to a fishing spot on the lake and not far from the caves. Hawk's Peak | Hocking Hills

Logan log cabin

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Relaxing get away!” We stayed at the Hawks Peak with six people very comfortably. The cabin was very clean and the beds are soft, the water pressure was fine and the quality of water was great as well. The hot tub was the best for us. The tops are so easy to take off and we loved the led lights. We had to call the front desk for a new gas tank for the grill and they were there very quick! A+ Only suggestion would be to add a light by the grill area. There are rope lights on the stairs except for the last one, so its hard to see the last step in the desk. We had two people fall and almost sprained an ankle - other then than excellent cabin! The cabin is perfect distance to any of the fine attractions!

About Logan

×

For some of the best parks in the country, local farm with delicious fresh produce, great breweries, and an endless supply of outdoor activities to enjoy, look no further than Hocking Hills. Your best bet for stylish boutiques and upscale dining options in town is Main Street while parks and sporting activities can be found all over town.

Be sure to make time for some of these must-see sights during your stay in the area:

  • Tar Hollow State Park: This is the third largest forest in the state and has over 16,000 acres, filled with guided walking trails and excellent hiking options.
  • Logan Antique Mall: This mall has over 100 dealers with antiques from almost every part of the country, some of which are turn of the century pieces.
  • Ash Cave: The largest recess cave in the state is the biggest geographic feature of Hocking Hills and also features a waterfall that provides amazing photo opportunities.
  • Hocking Valley Scenic Railway: Take a ride through the hills in a historic train with experienced tour guides.
  • Air Tours: Several local companies offer air tours, which allow you the opportunity to admire the geological landscape of Hocking Hills from above.
  • Go Horseback Riding: Take a leisurely horseback ride through the meadows of Hocking Hills.

In addition to the attractions throughout the many parks of Hocking Hills, there are also several events and festivals held in town throughout the year. Celebrate the summer strawberry harvest at the Newark Strawberry Festival in June, take a ride through the hills for breathtaking views of the Independence Day fireworks over town at the Fireworks Train in July, or enjoy the rides and competitions offered during Haunted Hockings in October.

There are many vacation rental options, suitable for all family sizes and budgets, in Hocking Hills. Book a home that's in the middle of town and puts you near the excellent dining options and rows of art galleries. Or, for a more rural experience, rent a beautiful cabin in a more remote part of town and closer to the state parks.

If you wish to explore other parts of Ohio, there are several places near Hocking Hills that make excellent day trips. The bustling college atmosphere of Athens, the attractions of Cleveland, and the historic buildings of Mansfield can all be reached within an hour and a half drive.
