“perfect apartment close to the sea and Conil town” Andrew and april were very kind and helpful. They really look after, that we do not miss anything and everything works. The apartment has a dishwasher, washing machine, German TV, but the best was the sea view from all windows! You do not need anything else than sitting on the balcony and to see and hear the ocean. We slept very well (and long) in the beds and it was nice to have two sofas in the living room to relax. The location was perfect for us: Near to the beach and the beach restaurants and only 10 minutes walk to Conil centre. We liked it very much!

“Perfect chilled out retreat” We spent a week at Casa azulita - and it was just what the doctor ordered. The place itself couldn't have been more relaxed - a stylish cabin only s short distance from the beach, with all that you could need for a week's R&R; in this lesser known part of Spain. Dom, Lisa and Roosta (the world's friendliest dog) were the perfect hosts - they gave us loads of useful info about the place itself; where to eat, what to see, and most importantly where to surf. Their helpful yet chilled style complimented the place itself. We only chanced on finding this place, but what a superb discovery. We are definitely going back. Thanks guys - perfect holiday

Things to do

Los Caños de Meca is incredibly popular with walkers and hikers due to its many areas of natural beauty. Top of many hikers lists is Parque Natural de la Breña y Marismas del Barbate. This 50-sq-km coastal park with its 16th-century Torre del Tajo (lookout tower) has breathtaking views of the Atlantic, marshes and pine forests.

Watersports are a popular pastime in Los Caños de Meca. Surf and body-boarders should visit El Palmar beach between October to May for some excellent waves. Playa Caños de Meca is a firm favorite with windsurfers and the reefs nearby make it a great diving spot, too. Facilities include toilets, showers, changing rooms, lifeguards and a picnic zone.

As the sun goes down, the beach bars serving cold cocktails and tapas are the place to be. Party the night away as the tables are moved to make space for dancing until the early hours.
