Living and dining spaces have gigantic picture windows with expansive views of Holmes Harbor and the mountains behind them. You can spend hours on the desk watching the tides coming and going, eagles being chased by ravens, or bask in the sun. It only takes a few steps to cross the lawn and you are on the beach, from which you can launch your boat, or collect sand dollars and shells. Oh, and before I forget: the house also comes with an extensive CD collection with selections from all genres-- and you can turn up the music and dance and sing to your heart's content. We had a soulful retreat at "Baby Beach" and left tons of good energy behind !

“Wow your place is such a restful spot” Jeannie, we can't thank you enough for hosting my wife and I recently at Beachwood Cottage. Your place was everything that we could have hoped for and more. It was the perfect nest for us to relax in the sun, breath in the ocean-fresh air, observe the birds and wild life and pick fresh tasty vegetables from your garden for our salad. When we arrived it was clean and as described on the web-site. What a welcoming experience. “Perfect Weekend Get-a-Way” This rustic off the grid cottage on Lasqueti Island was perfect for our family get-a-way weekend. Rob met us at the dock, drove us to the cottage (although it was only a 5 minute walk but much appreciated as we had some luggage), and then explained the cottage mechanics. Josephine was attentive and helpful on the phone. Wonderful couple! Charming cottage! Excellent experience! Thank you.

“Gorgeous views, Family friendly, Pet friendly beach house” This was a wonderful place to spend the Christmas holiday at with extended family. Our tweens really enjoyed the ping pong and air hockey. We all enjoyed the hot tub. Watching the tides come in and out and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets was lovely.

“Relaxation, comfort and all things to make you feel welcomed into this hidden oasis..” Perfect little get away from every day life. Where there are lots of stores and the market on Saturdays with local artisans, craft people. Along side fresh flowers, fruit and vegetables that are vibrant. Mount Maxwell has a stunning view with great trails and St, Mary's Lake is an incredible view. Coffee shops and restaurants with a beautiful harbour to walk around.. most enjoyable energy on this island.

“Spectacular wilderness get away...refreshing” I was vacationing along with 5 family members from all across Canada. We arrived after a beautiful scenic drive from Calgary to be welcomed by Barbara in a way that we felt home, safe and amoung family. The log cabins are spectacular, very clean and everything you need to be comfortable. The view from every window was breathtaking and different and even when the cows come visiting you are happy to see them. The cabins are located off the main highway near Lumby BC but not to the point of feeling isolated. The drive up the mountain to Bear Valley is breath taking and exciting, up-down and around but more than worth the climb. We spent a week of what I would call inner peace and tranquility just having fun with each other, nights of non-stop talking and laughing, running into the cabin when suspicious noice heard by side of the cabin or miserious noices coming from the meadows. Life is good in the wild. Then came Barbara on two occassions with wonderful homemake cake which we all fought for the last morsels. Barbara & Jurgen her husband made us feel like one of the family giving us greens from their organic garden and the pleasure of meeting Wanya their dog who also made our stay that much more memorable(visited on a day basis). If getting away from computer/cell phones and spending memorable time making wonderful memories with loved ones this is the place... Thank you Barabara ans Jurgen and my family will definitely be back in the near future.
